What really made me feel like taking the time to write this review is the the great -"after initial motorcycle purchase"- service I have received from Blake and the team in the parts department. I plan to continue to send my business to Blake and the team in the parts department even though I live over 4 hours away and everything is done online, on the phone, and by email. I will go into some more detail about my experience with the parts department later in this review. I purchased a motorcycle from the Fort Lauderdale location of Broward Motorsports recently. It is a 2007 Honda CB900F 919 (only 345 miles, cherry red, like brand new). The bike was a trade in (possibly on consignment), but a great find and a good price especially considering I bought it at a bike shop. I would have been happy with the price even if it had been from a private seller. Jacquie was the salesperson. I needed to work out some things including traveling to the dealership and Jacquie helped coordinate that with me and make the sale happen. While inspecting the motorcycle I had purchased I noticed that the small tool kit was missing and inquired about ordering a replacement. Blake spoke to the general manager about it and they both spoke to me and offered to supply a tool kit free of charge. This was not something that the manager or dealership was obligated to do as it was a used motorcycle. The manager was very approachable and courteous. He signed off on giving Blake and the parts department team the latitude to do whatever is necessary to track down the tools and tool bag that would have been included in the original tool kit that came with the bike if purchased new. One of the tools is unique and specially designed to make changing the spark plugs on this model of bike MUCH easier and would have been a special order item if I had to track it down myself. This is a pretty large and busy dealership and I appreciated the manager taking the time to help me out to acquire a tool kit for the bike. Back to the great experiences Ive had doing business specifically with the parts department. I have been in contact with Blake in the parts department most of the time, but while I was visiting the shop and when calling there, everyone in the parts department has been eager to help, knowledgable, and friendly. It is obvious that they are interested in motorcycles/motorsports and everything that goes with them (parts, upgrades, accessories, safety gear, etc). I have done extensive research on products that I was thinking about purchasing thinking that I will need to be able to explain what Im looking for and know the specs before calling. When I called the parts department to discuss placing an order they knew what I was talking about right away in detail (even when it is something that is not a common accessory). To sum it up, they are knowledgable, professional, courteous, and I have yet to contact them with a question without learning the answer and everything that I needed to know before the end of the phone call. Even if you are not close to the dealership, you can still place orders by phone or email. They will match or beat any other stores price (both walk in stores and online stores). I know that last part sounded like I work there or something, but I do not. I will continue to send them my business whenever I need a part, accessory, or anything motorsports related. Other motorsports shops would benefit from having a great staff in the parts department like this one. Buying the vehicle got me there the first time, great service after the sale will keep me coming back. Im already buying my parts and accessories there so when it is time for a new bike, watercraft, or other motorsport vehicle I know where Ill be making the drive to... I brought in my 2005 Majesty as it had power loss issues (wouldnt go faster than 50 mph). I told them that I had the primary parts of the clutch replaced ($1000.00) back in October at another authorized Yamaha dealer in Canada (big mistake - should have kept my mouth shut). They took it apart and claimed that the secondary parts of the clutch needed to be replaced, which would cost an additional $1300.00 ($900.00 for parts alone). I decided to buy the parts online from partzilla (original OEM Yamaha parts), and paid $450.00. I took the parts to another shop, replaced them and the problem still existed. When the service guy saw the old parts, he said that it didnt warrant having them replaced. The service manager at Broward Motorsport, Michael told me that it would cost $100.00 for the evaluation fee, but when I went to pick it up a couple of days later, it had gone up to $150.00. Under Florida law, they are not allowed to charge more than $100.00 without written or verbal authorization. You dont treat customers like that. These people need to be proactive and let the customer know when there are additional charges, and dont assume what the problem(s) is/are until youve diagnosed it properly. I asked them what would happen if this didnt resolve the problem - I was told that they were certain that this was the problem. Thats how cocky they are here. For that reason, I decided not to return to have anything more to do with these guys. Horrible customer service!

I was dealing with a sales manager over the phone who told me that he could offer me a bike at a certain price. I come in a few hours later to find out that the price is almost 1/3 higher than what originally discussed. They claimed there was little to no markup and that they dont have any profit off of Ninja 300s so they dont care if I buy it or not. Extremely rude the whole experience and really screwed me over with the interest rate. I left that night pissed as hell, feeling that they just wasted my entire Saturday afternoon toying with me. I was there for almost 5 hours. Following day I head over to Riva Motorsports in Pompano and they have the exact model Im looking for. The sales I dealt with had been working there for 17 years and immediately got rid of the mark down on the bike (almost $500). He offered me an amazing price, so I told him to run my credit and get back to me with monthly payments. When he came back he found out that Broward had ran my credit 5 times. It dropped my score immensely. Needless to say I was pissed but they explained this wasnt the first time it had happened. They offered me an interest rate almost 1/2 of what Broward did regardless of how bad they screwed my credit. The monthly payments were also a lot better terms. They even tossed in a free jacket and 50% on gloves and a helmet. So basically, steer clear of this place and head over to Riva. Much better service and a lot friendlier being that its mainly family ran.

I would like to start by saying: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! From the moment I walked into the showroom, I was swarmed by sales people like I was in a shark tank. I came in looking for a specific bike, a Yamaha R6. When I called I was told that they had all 2015 colors in stock to choose from. Great! I get there and they only have a white one but they could "get" me a blue one in a couple days. Margaret / Margie I cant remember her name exactly but she was the sales shark who pounced on me first. I have bought many cars and bikes in my lifetime and have never had a salesman as pushy as Marg since the 80s. She eagerly tried to sell me a Honda instead of the Yamaha since they did not have my color of choice available. I tried to explain to her that it was an entirely different bike and I had no interest in it. Marg did not care about what I had to say, her only goal was to get some commission from me, even if it meant purchasing the wrong bike for me. Just for fun, I decided to let her write me up to see what kind of hidden fees they have. My out of the door price for an $11,000 bike was close to $14,000!! I understand that there is sales tax and registration but over $1,500 in fees is just insane! I left and bought my R6 in Blue elsewhere.
