I am sorry to have to write such a negative review. My daughter has grown up in the Catholic school system of the Diocese of Venice, graduating from St. Andrews and Bishop Verot. I am proud to be a member of St. Katherine Drexel Church and a local business owner. Two days ago, I was expecting the Thrift Store to pick up a table and chairs that was being donated to the store. I needed to work that day and had placed the table in front of my garage. On my way to work, I get a call from the manager of the store, Amy Dominguez. She was notifying me of th e pick up and wanted to know who would be present for the pick up. I explained where I left the table and told her I was on the way to work. In a harsh tone , Amy said, "you are on your way to work?". I explained that it was necessary for me to work so that I can afford to donate to less fortunate . Amy immediately went into a combative tone and said they were unable to pick up the furniture because it was "exposed to the elements". She also twisted what I had said in regards to the less fortunate and created the narrative that I was a bully. Her tone was very aggressive, as though she wanted to pick a fight. I had to ask who she reported to. She said she was the boss. I thought I should file a complaint so I went to the store to get her name. I was given Amys business card and was told she was in an interview. Eventually, she came to the front of the store and continued her rant on the homeless and unemployed. I could see she did not want to hear any thing I had to say and so I just asked for her superior. I was told that it was the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Leaving, I felt sorry for those that depend on the organization. Amy had a narrative of her own, tuning out all others. As an employer, Amy Dominguez is not someone who I think should work with people. The unhappiness is reflected in the moral of the employees at the shop. I would be devastated if one of my employees ever had a phone conversation with customers like the one I had with Amy. I the end, the losers are the people that depend on the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store. I would not want to see someone in need or otherwise have such a negative experience.

Lots of clothes, some household items, books, not a large furniture selection. The prices were fair and they occasionally have sales. There is an off-street parking lot.
