This place is absurd; I arrived into the store one day and bought what I was told was a water-filtering pipe. I of course made my purchase on the advice of the store employee at the time, who assured me it was a water pipe (against my own initial skepticism). Back at home, sure enough I discover that it is in fact not a water pipe. The next day I bring it back for a return naively thinking things will go smoothly, and encounter what can only be described as Beowulf... The same crazy woman the guy below posted about saw me first with my store bag, and actually started yelling at me before I even approached her!! I got barely six words out of my mouth before she was sticking her finger in my face! She began to basically tell me to shove it since I had already used the pipe, to which I replied how was I supposed to know if the store employee assured me it was something it was not? I eventually got her to agree to let me pay a difference and trade-up for what I originally wanted; a water pipe. This still cost me money and I was forced to do this because she refused to cooperate any other way. Avoid this place. It is an embarrassment to all small businesses. They have no concept of customer service and you can expect to be bullied on your purchases.

My husband and I decided to show patronage to this establishment on the night of Friday, August 26th. Being that I work for one of the prominent cigar shops in the Maryland area, we only wanted to support another local minority business since we were in the area. After we made our selection in the back humidor, we then proceeded to the counter to make our purchase, the male staff member (behind the bar) approached my husband and accused him of possibly stealing. As my husband started to empty his pockets; to defuse the tone we were receiving. We realized that the employee wasnt even certain of his accusations. With the attitude, and display of utter disrespect we decided to not purchase at all. I find it very unfortunate that based on what youre wearing or what you look like promotes such an unconscious bias and discriminatory attitude. If you decide to patron this establishment, you might not want to look like a biker. I will never go back to this establishment.

My entrance into this shop was marked by a chime. Nonetheless, I had to wait for at least a minute for service. No, the shop was not busy (you will soon see why this fact is not surprising). Where was the saleswoman/owner of the one-person shop? In the back of the establishment, chatting on the phone. She did not interrupt the gossipy call when she saw me. When she over-charged me for a cigar (a mistake that probably stemmed from her divided focus), she refused to give me a refund! She shook her head, while continuing to gossip on the phone. When I told her how ridiculous I thought such service was, she paused the conversation (finally!). "F-U," she shouted while slamming her hand near the register. I doubt if this place will be in business for long; however, if it is, dont spend your hard-earned dollars there.

Over the phone, they are of very little help. I asked if they carried a certain pipe cleaner, and the person on the phone said "I dont think so..." and as I was asking "Can you check?" he was saying "Bye". So when he finally put me on hold as he said (which I wasnt) he asked someone "Hey I know you dont work here but do we carry Brebia pipe cleaner"...followed by garbled sound, he gets back to me "no we dont". Once again saying "Bye" shortly after and before I could ask if they carried anything else or offered any solution ...I had to say Im not done asking questions, and he stayed on the phone annoyed. Terrible customer service. Who doesnt train their employees to ask customers if they need anything else or have other questions.

Ive been visiting TG Cigars for a couple years and always greeted with a smiling face and friendly service! The lounge is a comfortable spot to hang and enjoy a cigar! The selection of cigars and accessories is outstanding! Cant find the Drew Estate cigars anywhere else in Washington D.C.! Location is great too, right across from the convention center!

Im here at least twice a week, sometimes more. TG now has a deck which makes it needless for me to go anywhere else to smoke. Customer service is always on point. The stick prices are actually cheaper than cigar lounge prices, e.g. Ozios, Shellys, Civil etc...

Very comfortable, wonderful staff, the Padron pyramid 1964 I smoked was well kept. They have a great scotch selection that I plan on tasting when I return.
