I absolutely want to give Safeway a 5 star review. However, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!? Why would you get rid of the self checkout area? That was my MAIN reason for going to this store. I loved how convenient and easy everything was for me, particularly when just running in to grab a few items. Now its a nightmare. There are always lines at checkout which wouldnt be a problem if there were more than two people working the register. I feel bad for those working there because they too are effected by this change. A wait line of two or three people is now a wait line of six or more. A simple and less complicated thing that I loved and actually enjoyed is now a frustrating and anxiety filled time at the store! Please bring the self checkout back! A quick trip to the store now takes much longer. Im considering shopping at other stores in the area that still have the self checkout.

WHYYYY would you get rid of the self check out? WHY?? I only had one thing and had to wait in line for 10 minutes because some lady forgot her safeway card and then her credit wouldnt work! There were only three lines open and all of the lines were packed full of people. What were you guys thinking? Also, none of the baggers hopped in to open a register nor did anyone do anything to solve the backed up line issue. I only shop here because its right by my house, but its always a frustrating experience.

I like the store a lot. I preferred their past configuration without cosmetics in the middle of the store because you have to run from side to side if you forget something, but otherwise its a much cleaner, spacious, and friendlier store than the nearby competitors. Prices are good, the Safeway app helps with the savings, and I enjoy this as my primary go to grocery store.

Seriously December 23rd and only 4 check out lanes open???? You suck! Bring back self check out. And what happened to the polite staff? Now there are a bunch of young check out cashiers that lack people skills...lack the ability to scan my groceries in an acceptable amount of time as well.

Its your average grocery store with a good line of products. I shop here or at shoprite based on weekly sales. The star deduction is due to the lack of self checkout and never having enough lanes open. A 5 minute stop turns into a 20 minute stop because of their lack of staff.

Tuesday evening 6:30pm cashier complaining to three customers in line about having to work late. The employee was bad mouthing the store management. She said the customers should use self checkout. Why would a business have such an employee work for them?!

Only go here when I dont feel like braving the ridiculous lines at the local wholesale club. Their outrageous prices drove us away long ago. Theyll never get the business they lost from us back. I miss the Genardis store that this location used to be.

They have almost everything you might need. From fresh produce to western union. The workers there are friendly and eager to help. They have great quality merchandise. The only con for some might be the price, it is the most affordable place to shop.

Produce department is impressive! Meats are decent at best, and the seafood department is just sad. The cheese selection is pretty good for a supermarket. The cashiers are usually fast, and almost every time Ive been, there is someone to bag for you.

The service is so slow at this store they seem to be moving backwards. Today there were four employees in the deli yet they served only one customer at a time and at a slow pace while conducting their personal conversations and joking.

The store is clean and check out is usually quick. But they organize a lot of foods by the maker instead of by the type of food - you can find any Goya item near the rest, but beans from different makers are in 3 different places.

Theres a worker named Michel that works there and he reeked of marijuana and was very ignorant and disrespectful . I asked him for help and he told me to ask someone else for help and that it wasnt his job to help me !!!

Cashiers here are always so rude and miserable every time. They act like you are bothering them by checking out. This happens EVERY time! I live close but will be going out of my way from now on to avoid this place.

Fresh produce/deli stuff, good prices on most items if you have a safeway card. Employees are always nice, store is very clean. Get your produce and meat at Safeway and your packaged/non-food items at Walmart.

Its the nicest of the surrounding area grocery stores but its also the most expensive. Very good selection, decent lunch meat, above average service but tough to justify the pricing.

Fairly large store, has features like pizzeria, made to order sandwiches and sushi, bakery, meat and seafood counters, cafe and Starbucks in store. Could always use more cashiers.

I like the store as its convenient to my home. The exception is that at times the checkout lines are not sufficiently staffed and the lines getting checked out are long.

I love this place. Although we need some time to wait, but for my own experience, its not too long to wait. I like the fresh fruit, veggie and seafood here.

I was way out of my area but stopped for a few items. Clean store, decent selection... but a bit expensive and there is no self serve check out.

Not a lot of variety, and they are frequently sold out of basic things. Since they got rid of self checkout there are never enough cashiers.
