There are some wonderful bargains available in the produce and grocery departments. Actually the produce is surprisingly good compared to how cheap it is. Avoid buying some kinds of meat here, especially the chicken. Not sure why, guessing multiple freeze/thaw cycles, but the chicken here is disgusting, even after cooking. I have tried many times to make it work because its cheap, but the chicken here is just not fit for human consumption. Some of the meat is OK... they often have cryovacd big cuts, eg pork shoulders or racks of ribs, which cook up perfectly fine and are amazing deals. Cured stuff like kielbasa, hot dogs etc, all fine and again, great deals. Frozen shrimp and fish also sometimes a great deal, and seem to be properly frozen and stored. Wish they could get the chicken right. Great deals in the grocery although the selection is more limited than at a normal grocery store. I can do about 2/3 of my grocery shopping here, and I pay maybe 60% what I would at the pricey, crowded, and smelly Stop and Shop down the road. The store is very neat and clean. The aisles are wide, its well-lit, and they play good music on the sound system. There are always enough checkouts open that you never wait very long, and the people at the register are pleasant enough. Again, this contrasts with Stop and Shop down the road, where the lines are long and the checkout people are sullen. I only give a good rating for service for the one weird feature of the store... they dont have bagging stations at the checkout aisle, instead they load your stuff into an empty cart and then you have to wheel it to a long table to bag it. I understand the concept to keep prices low, but the way its implemented sucks. The table they provide for bagging is far too high, and having to reach down into the cart twice to get things out is terrible on my back. They need to fix the ergonomics of what is the worst part of a visit to the store (along with the nasty chicken.)

Management sucks. I wasnt given the hours I was promised. H.R is useless. They shorted my check 12 hours of pay. They tell you to turn your head when the customers stealing. They are the worst company to work for. They lead to believe they are a wonderful company but they will rob right in front of your eyes.

Great place to stock up on most everyday food items. Also the produce is very inexpensive but not usually the best quality. Expect to pay $2-3 less per pound then other groceries in the area.
