WESTFARMS MALL IS GREAT!!! However, I had the WORST Experience today at a MASTER CUTS salon. Well lets just say bad enough to motivate me to write my first review for a place of business period. I called in 15 minutes ahead for a wash/blow dry, was told over the phone by Employee A, that someone is open to take me immediately. Therefore, I arrive with that expectation of being serviced relatively quickly, its MONDAY, the salon was empty. After waiting 5 minutes, Employee A, finally acknowledged me at the counter. I asked if she was alone, response: no. Employee B & C are in the back, the chatter was audible. Now its 15 minutes in, Employee A went to grab a stylist. I am still waiting. Employee C enters the area, gives me a FAKE smile and no greeting of any kind and began unpacking her things, major attitude. Employee B, comes to me at the counter with some decency, after I explained that I have been waiting for someone, she insisted "have a seat and wait." decency-gone. Employee B (who had an appt.) stated that Employee A was going to do my hair after all. At this point IM DONE with the B.S. 25+minutes since I walked in the door, I am still waiting for a stylist. A quick apology that things are little crazy, didnt help anything. This companys Regional Manager needs to step in and fix this mess! I left feeling disrespected and mad as hell! This location lacks promptness, customer service skills, organization & friendliness.

Its a pretty decent mall. Its pretty interesting to witness all of the changes Westfarms has made throughout the years. Some well needed, and some that were disappointing to me (i.e. getting rid of Pralines Ice Cream and that cookie/brownie shop... I forgot the name of it haha). Nevertheless, Westfarms could become a lot better if they a) added a food court and b) added a few more trendy yet affordable stores. The most important change Westfarms should make is to add a food court. PLEASE GET ON THIS WESTFARMS THE FOOD CHOICES AT THE MALL ARE LIMITED. If that cant be done, there should be effort put into adding some more food places and/or replacing food places that arent all that great to begin with (ex: Au Bon Pain gets replaced by Panera Bread). Anyway, other than those 2 main critiques, Westfarms is a good mall that can fulfill most of your shopping needs.

I travel often for my job as Im a civil engineer and a parts appraiser for a big company and I stopped at westfarms mall last week during the evening. Mall is great very nice stores they even have a Tiffany store. My biggest problem is the aggressive tactics of the hair straightener kiosks who lied and sold my wife a iron claiming it was a steamer from Germany and we found the same thing on eBay for $35 then comes the Dead Sea lotion sales person trying to stop you any way they can honestly it was like walking down a flea market and kind of reminded me of walking the streets of China town in NYC. good mall but the aggressive and annoying kiosks in here make it hard for you to enjoy a simple walk in the mall so thats why I dont think its as upscale of a place as described online

Absolutely awful customer service. I used to think Apple had the best service around. I live about an hour from this apple store. I called and was told my cracked screen could be fixed. I drove to the store and when I got there I was told my phone needed to be replaced. This was fine except they couldnt transfer any of my info to the new phone. I had to go back home transfer everything to my Computer. When I returned I was told I would need to wait 3 hours for an appointment. I asked for a manager was told to wait 40 minutes. This is such poor service especially for a costumer who in the past year and half has bought an iPad, 2 iPhones and a laptop from this store. I wish I could give no stars but this is not an option.

I have been going to Westfarms Mall since it opened back in the early 1970s. It is a high-end Mall with Macys, Lord and Taylor, Nordstrom and JC Penny as their anchor stores. There is a variety of restaurants from which to choose. This is nice because I personally feel that Food Courts would cheapen Westfarms. The only feature I dislike is the Kiosks with pushy sale people who literally pull you over to sell their wares. This started about a decade ago. The only reason I can see why they started this is because Buckland Mall in Manchester, CT does it. Other than that one thing, I highly recommend going to Westfarms Mall on the border of West Hartford and Farmington, CT (hence the name West- Farms).

I gave up trying to buy perfume for my girlfriend at the perfume counters. I went in on Tuesday August 7th at around 2:30 pm in the afternoon. The associates seem very unwilling to help; they are unfriendly and seem very "snotty" toward their customers. I saw only two associates available; a gentleman in a suit who was walking around trying to look important but not helping anyone in particular, and a girl behind the Chanel counter who was too busy doing her own things to pay any attention to me. After a little while she disappeared. I gave up after a full ten minutes of being ignored and trying to get someones attention and went to another store and purchased my perfume there.

Im from Springfield and compared to the malls up here its much better. Only downside to the mall is that the Natic mall is about the same amount of travel time and is twice as large. The shops in westfarms mall is great and one really big benefit is that its right next to west Hartford which is a really nice place to unwind because they have a lot of nice restaurant there. My personal favorite is the cheese cake factory and whenever I go down to westfarms I always make a reservation at one of the restaurant so after I finish shopping I can go relax and have a bite to eat.

Crowded obviously during the holidays but still some good bargains if you time your shopping right. Most of the stores at this mall are very expensive because they are high end retail. But you could still find some great deals in some of the middle retail stores like Penneys and sometimes Macys also has some good deals. The mall could be a little bit cleaner though because there are often times when there is spilt food and beverage on the floor which takes awhile for the crew to clean up. Altogether, I would rate this as a pretty good mall.

The security there might as well be the SS. They have literally nothing better to do as they kicked out me and 3 other friends because one of us threw a piece of rubbish from the second story into the garbage can below; and even radioed our desciptions to the other security guards as we were being escorted out. I will refuse to shop here any further as this is the second time being kicked out for a ridiculous reason. The last time my friends and I were kicked out for making paper aeroplanes that we threw out after.

Always busy & sales associates have difficulty addressing every one. The mall is more upscale than other malls in the area. The status of the mall brings additional people. With the stores being highend the prices are reflected & there is not much of a selection with varying styles & price points. The stores are expensive & the stores that surround the flagship stores are also expensive. Needs more variety @ different price points. Possibly extend hours because of the amount of patrons.
