Outside, bums hanging around picking through the trash, people overdosing on drugs, and the bottle return rm is disgusting with most of the machines out of order. They used to have a security guard outside but I havent seen him in quite some time (he never did much anyways except B.S. with the people hanging out there anyways). Inside isnt much better. I hear the manager being paged all the time but he/she never comes. Front end supervisors station is nothing more than a hangout for the employees. I only shop this store because of convenience, not because its my preference!

Living in Thomaston makes us have to travel for Stop & Shop items we need weekly. When I got home last night and realized I left a bag behind, I called the store and being very disappointed I was missing items to make our dinner, Cheryl, the manager on that day had someone not only bring me the items, but sent flowers as well! I think this is the very best customer service Ive ever received in any supermarket. It made out night and looking at these flowers today brings a heartfelt smile as a remembrance. Thank you Cheryl!!

I walked into this looking for exotic cabbages, but apparently Stop & Shop doesnt carry those, so I had to walk cross country to find a rabbi who would sell me some exotic cabbage. Also the second time I went to S&S, I tried to buy a bag of ~1000 Golden Orb Weavers, as I thought I could sell golden silk. But apparently they also dont carry those, so I had to settle for bread. The third time I went, I tried to purchase 1 casket of ricen, luckily they had it on hand so yeah, third time is the charm.

This Stop and Shop just doesnt compare to others in the area. They try so hard to save money that they overwork their employees and still dont have the time or resources they need to provide quality products and services. Its a management issue, because the employees themselves are not an issue. They also throw out tons of food and create a huge amount of waste which I think is quite shameful for a company to allow.

I purchased a large 4 lb pack of 80/20 ground beef. The "Sell By" date was 4 days away. The beef pack had brown beef in the center, with fresh, pink beef around the exterior of the beef pack. It smelled off. This isnt the first time this has happened at this Stop & Shop. I will purchase pre-packaged meat like Oscar Myers, but will no longer buy meat from this Stop & Shop. Caveat emptor.

Hard to find items. Employees not attentive to customers. Carriages constantly stuck together or no shopping baskets in the doorway. Employees either ignore you or follow you assuming youre a shoplifter not the best shopping experience. But its close by and convenient only reason I still shop there
