I had been debating a tattoo for 10+ years. I went to the studio and met John, the owner and found him to be very nice and down to earth. I had an idea and we discussed it for the better part of half an hour. I am a scientist, and so am VERY aware of the dangers of bad shop hygiene. John answered all my questions and explained everything in detail that he was going to do to ensure that the tattoo was done in the cleanest environment. I returned a few weeks later with some pictures, ideas, and a passionate vision of what I wanted done. He had created a tattoo design that was everything that was in my head, and then some. The first session was six hours, and worth every minute. John was knowledgeable about the at times arcane realm of protein synthesis, and was able to talk about it with obvious background research. I returned a few weeks later and he added highlights and protein chains bonding to for the amino acids that make up our dna backbone. His technique, cleanliness, and professionalism made my experience very memorable and positive. I have recommended him to friends and family with no misgivings at all.

John did my first tattoo almost 20 years ago, and 16 tattoos later I will never go anywhere else. The shop is clean and they are very professional. Johns apprentice Mike is an awesome tattoo artist also. I always have a great time when I am there. John has put 5 tattoos on my wife in the last year and she loves it there also. I have sent many friends there and they all keep going back for more tattoos! John even buys girl scout cookies from my daughter. Its definately one of the nicest tattoo shops in Ct.

I went to John twenty plus years ago for my tattoo. John was incredibly patient with me and knew what I wanted better than I did, all I was asked to do was describe myself. He went into the back ( this was at the old location) for about 10 minutes. He came out with a design that absolutely floored me. Long story short, I trust him and his people 100%. Since then I have brought two of my daughters to him and I am going in for another.

Mike is a tremendous artist-he is thorough and takes his time setting up and on your tattoo to make sure it is the best it can be. He clearly takes significant pride in his work, and doesnt rush through it. The shop is clean and a great atmosphere. I suggest it to anyone who is looking for not just a tattoo but a great tattoo experience. I am looking forward to going back (again and again).

Ive made it pretty clear to Mike that I want him to do all of my tattoos. This shop has an awesome atmosphere and a great group of guys that want you to be 100% happy with what you get. Theyll really go out of their way to help you and to give you exactly what youre looking for. Awesome customer service, awesome shop, awesome art, couldnt ask for anything better.

I just got a tattoo from here and I love it! Best tattoo shop around, no question. Its clean, comfortable, and nice. The staff is very friendly and the owner, John Vance, is awesome! I definitely recommend Fantasy Ink to everyone. Im going back in a few months to start my sleeve... cant wait!
