When I first moved here in 2011, I found this Goodwill and began to visit it faithfully each week since then. I found all kinds of great items for great prices. Now? That is no longer true. The reason I gravitated towards Goodwill is because Arc is horribly, horribly overpriced. People dont go into thrift stores so that that they can spend a ton of cash; they go so they can find good deals on things they need. Arc charges darned near full price for most of their (very) used items, so Goodwill was the place for me because they had such great deals. Fast forward 4 years later and now Goodwill isnt only as bad as Arc--theyre worse. For example: I went into the store a few weeks ago and saw a picture frame ledge from Target. Goodwills price was $29.00. Lo and behold, I go into Target and see the same item on the clearance rack for 12 bucks. Also, they need someone who vets their items better, because they try to sell Dollar Tree items for $1.99 all the time. I donated some plates I bought from the Dollar Tree, and they tried to sell them for 3 bucks. I cant believe how overpriced theyve gotten. The furniture is still decently priced, but Im convinced thats because they need to move large items out quickly so theyre priced to sell fast. The knickknacks and smaller items are OUTRAGEOUSLY priced. I noticed that this didnt happen when the old manager was there. I even considered writing a letter to the current manager to let him/her know theyre driving their customer base away, that their items are sorely overpriced, and that they needed to understand that USED retail shouldnt warrant nearly new prices. But honestly, I just chose to vote with my feet. The last trip I made I picked something up off a shelf and actually laughed and shook my head it was so overpriced. Pay $7.99 for a used, scuffed candleholder? Not me, lol. No one walks around with a load of cash in their pockets and says, Hm. I think Ill go and blow a bunch of money at a thrift store on used items, when I can pay a few dollars more and get them brand new.... It just doesnt happen. Wake up, Goodwill. You are not Wal-Mart, Target, or any other new retail store; you sell used items and you have to price them accordingly. You can still make a profit without price gouging. I dont know if the change is from higher headquarters or low quarterly profits--but their current modus operandi isnt going to fix the problem. If you dont believe me, maybe I will go in tomorrow and take some pictures of the overpriced items (and their price tags so I can prove it to you). I no longer donate there, and I no longer shop there. When they get it together I may come back, but in the meantime Ill save my pennies and buy new. At least then, Ill have 30 days to return it...

This store is great. The previous reviewer was very misinformed on the pricing strategies. The stores have always used the money that is generated to fund their numerous community programs. Programs like Possibilities which allows mentally handicapped people from our community a place to spend the day being cared for by trained professionals at no cost to the family. Possibilities also educates the clients how to become more independent by teaching them basic life skills such as how to turn on and off a stove, what to do if the fire alarm goes off, how to rent a movie from redbox and watch it in your apartment, and thats just the small stuff I saw on the tour really. I know they are also involved in leap which provides huge amounts of help to needy families in the way of heating and electricity so that even children from poor families can have heated houses during the winter and electricity to power lamps and computers for homework. They have a huge number of programs aimed at the elderly with dementia and Alzheimers. Also a lot of programs to help people who struggle to find employment get back on track in the way of free training, free clothes to interview in and many many many other services. I did see recently that .82 of every Dollar goes into these programs directly and not into the pockets of those on the top levels. I have met the manager Josh at this store and he was so passionate about his store raising money to help our community in all of the ways mentioned above and more. Also the Electronics guy happened to be on the floor and was very very helpful and knowledgeable. I have never had one bad experience here and I sincerely doubt that I ever will.

Horrible! Im moving and wanted to donate two couches and a loveseat (one is a set) One couch and the loveseat were in a sitting room that was barely used. The other couch was our main one. We get to the donate drop off and a man wearing a bow tie came to greet my husband. We told him were donating 2 couches and a loveseat he takes one look at what we have again 1 couch and the loveseat were barely used. He mumbles something under his breath and just walks away leaving us waiting for 5 minutes! He comes back outside with a horrible attitude and a brochure, he points at the brochure and says no overused furniture. I can understand that about one couch but the other with a loveseat again wasnt used but maybe twice a year. He then walked away with his nose snubbed in the air. My experience was extremely unpleasant, and this employee was so rude. Never donating to that Goodwill again!

Chris was an amazing help. Helped me tie down the couch and table in the car. He was very sweet and did not hesitate to provide amazing customer service. Also was helped by a gentleman up front with glasses and a purple tie. He was very knowledgeable and so outgoing. Great customer service at this store.

This place is pretty awesome for good deals, but prices seem to vary time to time whenever we go in. Sometimes the pushing and shoving to get certain items can get a little vicious, but its nothing too horrible.

This location is very organized and clean and staff has always been friendly. My only constructive criticism would be to watch your overpricing of items especially since GW doesnt donate to charity.
