Im looking for a local shoe company to find a comfortable walking shoe for my travels this weekend but based on the reviews and the angry responses from the owner, I think I will pass this place by. I want to give my business to a local shop who cares about their customers, no matter how difficult they are. Ive worked retail and understand people can be a pain but youll catch more bees with honey than being rude to customers, that includes the negative online responding. Sounds like this owner has issues and reminds me of the owner from Amys Baking Company from Kitchen Nightmares. WOW

I moved from my home town Colorado Springs to Maryland last summer and we dont have anything like Valentines out here and what I wouldnt give to have to excellent service and time all the staff gave me with my Plantar Fascia issues. I just this morning plan to call and order a new pair of tennis shoes and how wonderful they have all my records and can help me out. With todays economy Im not surprised that customer issues arent more common in Colorado Springs where the market is hurting so. Please give grace to every business in Colorado Springs.

This store came highly recommended to me by my podiatrist to help me with my problems, so off we went. When we arrived, they were busy so we waited our turn. When Meg finally did greet us and start to help me, she was rude and abrasive. She was not someone who I would want to help me again. Her attitude was horrible and I was glad that someone else came in to help me. If I wasnt there on doctor orders, I would have walked right out the minute Meg helped us. She needs help on her people skills and I know that they will never have my business again.

Recommended to me by a Podiatrist. Products seem to be good quality. Salesperson spent a lot of time with me (the store was not overly busy). I bought shoes with custom inserts and cushions that ended up being the most comfortable footwear Ive experienced. The inserts were much more expensive (and better fitting) than the common ones you can buy off the rack in other stores, but not much more expensive than another specialist store I checked out and certainly not as expensive as some custom ones Ive seen advertised. I will go back.

New owners of this store are very helpful and knowledgeable about products and services. They allowed you to browse and try on shoes without any pressure. I watched them patiently attend to many people. I picked a new shoe from Klog and they helped add an additional support piece that made it fit very comfortably. I can not say enough good things about these new owners. I did shop at this store several years ago with the old owners and can understand the negative comments about the previous service..

Only wonderful things to say about Valentines Comfort Shoes. I have so much trouble finding shoes due to a foot I broke several years ago. I have searched all over town when someone recommended Valentines. They are wonderful people. They have you try on the shoes and the walk around in it for several min to make sure they are comfortable . The customer service is the best in town. I always recommend them to anyone who asks me where a good shoe store is!

I just came from this store and will never go back. The person working there(Meg) is not only rude but has no business working with the public. She informed me in front of 5 other customers in the store that I was taking away income from Colorado businesses by buying shoes online. Their prices are outragous and the customer service is less than poor. Too many other shoe stores in town to be treated with no respect at this store!

The staff at Valentines are knowledgeable and professional. They want to make sure you are satisfied before you leave. Today, Carol attended to me. She made sure not only was I pleased with my shoes, but also with my orthotics. I wear Brooks, 18 hours a day, 7 days a week. This last pair lasted about 1 1/2 years. Fantastic, personalized service. I only shop there about once every 6 months, and they remember me. They keep a file for every customer. They know my feet, and they customize arch supports for all of my shoes. Very high quality shoe selection, but obviously reflected in the prices. 90% of the shoes that I own come from Valentines.

I talked to these folks and they were straight up with the facts that there isnt much they can do for me. Compare that to Good Feet, who makes all sorts of claims and will sell expensive arch supports that wont make a difference. I think you have an honest business here.
