I love this place and the people that run it. I first found out reading a local article that they carry the Sourdough Boulangerie bread that is made with a 350 year old italian starter! Super cool. I went there and the lady asked me if I wanted to look at the meats and I stated I was vegetarian. She explained how the Callicrate meat is humanely treated. They are grass fed and have 25 feet to roam per cow. They do not send them through a slaughter line which injects insane amounts of hormones into the meat. The animals are taken to a pasture and do not know they are being killed. This does not compel me to eat meat, but after seeing another review complaining about the price of the meat, I wanted to mention that you are paying for quality, and not quantity. I will keep going back to buy bread and encourage carnivores to make humane purchase and vote with your dollar.

I think the cheapest steak in the store was over $15 a pound, and that was for sirloin that barely looked like choice grade. The marbling was pitiful, and the meat just looked unappetizing. I moved up here from Texas and was accustomed to the $6.99/lb USDA prime sirloin I could get at my local butcher shop. Even the ribeyes at my hometown shop were never more than $12.99/lb. All they sold was USDA Prime steak, and you could tell. I also didnt like the fact that all the meat was prepackaged. I much prefer the butcher shops where you can get meat sliced to order if the meat in the case isnt what you are looking for.

I went to Ranch Foods Direct for lunch today and it was delicious. I had to prepare my own meal but an employee informed me that they will have a dine in deli soon. Im extremely satisfied with the quality and also the variety of not only meat but also cheeses, dry goods, and honey. Every effort has been made to provide local pure food with a fair wage to the growers and ranchers. Highly recommended.

This is the place to come for the perfect cut of meat from local sources! We are always happy with anything we purchase from Ranch Foods -- our favorite is the bacon and beef -- far better than anything you can get at the grocery store. Their new store is great, providing local beans, produce, fresh bread, and more! We love this place. It is clean and the staff are always nice and helpful.

The meat is definitely tasty but I dont understand why I cant get most of it unfrozen. 90% of the meat on the floor was already frozen and when I asked if I could place an order for everything to be unfrozen I was rudely told no. Its also very expensive but I understand why. Also the smoked gouda is AMAZING.

I have been going to Ranch Foods Direct for about 12 years. The people working at Ranch Foods are extremely helpful and caring toward their customers. The products are the best and always consistent in quality. I love this place and wont buy meat anywhere else.

Although best know for their health meats and foods, what I end up buy most of is there dog bones. They have good variety of types and sizes, for my guy it is the medium size marrow bones.

Bought two 4-packs of New York Strip steaks, some chicken, sausage, chorizo, and bacon for a big trip to the mountains. In short, it was all phenomenally tasty. Worth the upscale prices.

Animals used are treated humanely (supposedly). And they have meat parts and cuts not readily available other places. They also sell dairy products, gluten free bread, etc.
