I would recommend this store to anybody.! management and staff are extremely helpful I recently purchased a 660 Stihl chainsaw every time I come in to get serviced or my change sharpened theyve taken care of me and they got me back up and running within a week. I have recommended friends of mine there and theyve helped them out with purchasing a chainsaw, for myself I live in the mountains it is a two-and-a-half-hour ride to the store which I gladly do for the service and expertise of the people at this Ace Hardware. If youre ever looking for a chainsaw or a specialty item I would check with the Ace Hardware at Austin Bluffs and Academy in Colorado Springs fantastic service and good people to work with. Good price on everything in the store and even sometimes they will be the competitions price which in my case they did..

Horrible experience. I went in to pick up new deadbolts and locks for my house, around $200 worth or merchandise. I wanted them all to be keyed the same so I went to the key counter. I had to wait 5 minutes while the "key guy" finished up with a customer, No problem. Then he said he would be another 15 minutes, he had some things to do. Still no problem. All told I was standing at the back counter for 30 minutes when he finally got back to me and told me he was going on lunch break and could have my locks done in an hour. Why did I have to wait 30 minutes only to find out it was his lunch break? That was a problem. He could have told me that right in the beginning. I put the locks back on the shelf and went to Lowes.

Called because I heard they were sharpening mower blades. I was told "yes" and the price was $8. I went in and talked to a guy who sharpened the blades. I told him I had a Honda which has double blades. He said he would charge $10. So I pulled the blades off the mower (and we all know how much fun that is) and took them. Naturally I didnt get the same guy and was told it would be $10 per blade. I left. Need to get your stories, people.

Of all the retail stores that I have shopped this Ace hardware consistently provides the bestcustomer service. My orders are always ready when I need to pick them up, even on short notice. The staff always meets you at the door willing to assist and will greet to by name once they know it. They have a surprisingly large and varied inventory for not being a "big box" store. Ill pick their personal service over giant stores every time.

The woman that "helped" me was rude and almost hostile. They are renovating, I understand that it causes a mess and a certain degree of disorganization, however ignoring a customer is never acceptable. With an attitude about even being asked for assistance, she dismissed me with a "it might be over there somewhere, if not I dont know where it is" I will purchase my carpet tape at a lower price at the Lowes on my way home.

Dan the Man in the back took way too a long to help me. I want to rename him as Dan the Sloth. I had screen door fixed. They said it would take 10 days. After about 20 days, I havent heard from them so decided to go to the store to see what was going on. Dan the Man rolled his eyes that I forgot my slip and gave me a hard time. It took him forever to locate my screen. Dan the Man needs to retire seriously.

The great thing about Ace Hardware at Austin Bluffs are the things that the big hardware stores dont offer. Like screen & screen door rebuilds. Cant say enough good things about that! Need propane for your RV? No problem - just pull up at the pump (like an old-time full service gas station) and they will fill your tank(s) ASAP! Great place, glad to see theyre always busy too.

I was profiled because I had a backpack that day. The lady told the other employees I looked suspicious. Because I overheard her, I did not buy the new pressure washer I was looking at for my painting company. I will likely not return or recommend this location based on her presumption that I was I their and her willingness to put me on blast.

Awesome store! The store workers actually know about the items the store sells and are helpful. Only when Ace doesnt carry what I need will I then go to one of those big box stores. Also, the spring/summer plants are always healthy and reasonably priced. Think Monrovia at its best!!!

This location doesnt care about customer service! If they answer the phone, they will not answer when you get transferred to another department. I can only assume that they are doing so well in the current economy that they dont need any more business! Its of to Lowes, I go!

Outstanding service! I came in to have many difficult keys matched and cut. Chris Olsen went above and beyond to get as many keys matched as possible. I got outstanding customer service despite my purchases being minimal. That speaks volumes about the stores values.

Ive had some bad experiences in the past with being talked down to here, or being walked past in the aisle so that an employee could ask another customer if they needed help. I dont shop here anymore because of that, but I hope theyve changed for the better.

I love the store with one exception. I would really like to go into ACE without having to repeatedly tell some guy at the door rharbInfo NOT own a home. ENOUGH AREADY! Do a mailer that I can throw away instead. Tired of being approached.

I had a wonderful experience at this Ace. I was directed to were I needed to go as soon as I came into the front door. Gloria had great knowledge of items I needed to get my garden started. Every one I passed greated me with a smile.

This store is the least friendly and the most unhelpful store in town. Drive the extra distance to go to Powers and Stetson Hills. ACE stands behind their products ONLY if you bought from their particular store with a rewards card.

It seems like every time I go into Ace there are new people working. I feel that no one stays for some reason. That is an indicator of poor management. Why would ANYONE want to shop at a store with poor management?

Despite the new ownership, the cashiers are still rude and apathetic. Only a handful of the times Ive been to this location have I gotten any friendlier service than I would have at Lowes or Home Depot.
