My favorite Korean market in South Bay. I like to come here for produce and meat, the price for Asian ingredients such as green onion, ginger, garlic, and bean sprouts can be many times cheaper than even Chinese markets. They also carry a ton of variety of grains and noodles. Depending on the hours there are free food sampling stands. They make fresh hot ready-to-go food and discount the leftovers before the store close. There are also several take-out restaurants inside. Ask about their bonus card, you get 2% back for purchase over $30 and can redeem when its over $10.

At first it seemed the optimal place to purchase salmon, but now it has become more expensive and less often appearing. Also I know this guy that almost got cheated out of a purchase until his mom came and asked for the rest of the money change as the guy had more than what was needed. Words of advice: always be aware and never distracted here, always ask for the receipt, and never let the children purchase on their own or else they may look like too gullible to cheat.

They suddenly changed their name from Fresh Mart to S-mart although literally nothing changed on the inside. This store is great because not only do they have all the Korean groceries you need, but they all have prepared food ready to be scooped up and taken home. I like to look around the produce section because there tends to be a lot of fruit and vegetables I have never seen before. There is also a yummy Korean Bakery inside where I usually buy cakes from.

Come here when I need a few items and want to order the five dollar sushi rolls. Prices are comparable to other Korean markets. My only complaint is that it could be a lot cleaner. Floors seem dirty and shelves are disorganized. I never buy fruit or veggies because they never last. The prices are lower but if I am throwing it all out after a few days than whats the point?

Though, as one who doesnt know Korean, the staff and item descriptions can be hard to understand, S-Mart offers fresh, high-quality products and has a very nice staff to help you with anything. As the store also has small side-stores, it is also very easy to find great baked goods, hot food, and even cosmetics and home appliances.

Prices are good for a Korean market but produce is not fresh. Surprisingly, the produce here is more expensive than that at H-Mart but the meat and seafood is cheaper. Several items are only a couple days away from expiration. The interior is run down compared to the newer competitor H Mart and doesnt feel as clean.

awesome Asian (korean) store. they have food stands inside that have very delish food and now they have a bakery too with gourmet pastries. the market itself is filled with hard to find Asian items. they have sample booths inside to try the food they sell. they also carry home supplies such as pots and pans...

Theres not that many Korean markets in the South Bay. With that being said, this is the only market I go to when I want to make Korean food. They have a ton of fresh produce, a meat section where you can get all your KBBQ meats, and I love the pre made section too. The store is clean and well kept.

Love this place. So many great selections. Nice and very friendly customer service. To much great stuff that I couldnt decide on what to get. But I bought marinated bulgogi, mandu, beansprouts, seaweed salad, dried anchovies and a whole lot of other stuff. Definitely recommend this place!!

The cleanliness is good. Quality of the products is very good. Prices are reasonable . Variety of products is there. But since many of employees are Korean speaking, I find it difficult to find things of my choice. It will be great if some of staff also speak English.

Although supermarket size not big, but carry great variety of products. Love their demo booths showing different food and drinks so I can try new stuff before buying. The only disappointment is, after I bought the new stuff and want to restock afterwards, they dont carry them anymore.

This grocery store has the affordable sushi rolls that dont taste fake or grocery store like. The restaurant is Haru sushi. Check them out they offer rolls like Baked Salmon (personal fave) , Dragon roll (eel & cali roll) , etc!

Interesting store. Stopped to pick up some sushi from one of the vendors inside. Nice and clean store. Unique to see all the samples being handed out. Will definitely be back again (at least for the sushi).

Be careful of the deli. The guy who weighs your fish and meat will secretly swap labels with a more expensive item during weighing making you pay more. Very deceptive practice!! Buyer beware!
