Originally, My wife pawn her wedding band and got a minimal amt of cash which was all she needed. It was going to take a while before she can pay the loan back so for a year she just kept paying the interest. One day, I decided to pay it off as a surprise on our 20th anniversary. I know I couldnt pick it up myself because she is the one who initiated the loan. I went ahead and paid it off and ask the man there if he would call her and as a surprise to tell her someone paid off the loan and that she can pick up her ring. Unfortunately she didnt answer. A month later she told me she had to pay the interest again so I told her it was paid off & all she has to do is pick it up. I couldnt find the receipt but I was pretty confident they would have a record of it. To my dismay, when we got there they had no record of it being paid off. I explained to them that I even had the guy call her when I paid it off to surprise her and The owner said this guy doesnt exist and that they dont give receipts when its paid off! What ?? Needless to say It would have been a kick in his face if found my receipt as I dont give anyone cash unless I get a receipt. Regardless, If they knew I had a receipt, they wouldnt have pull thus obvious scam. Whats right is right. And knowing that this us a pawn shop, I should know that they are CROOKS to begin with. This place is so desperate for money, They are hanging porno dvds through out the store walls. Talk about desperation, that pretty much should tell you. Dont shop here unless you dont plan on getting your stuff back. They are desperate enough to probably switch your item such as any diamond ring for a fake diamond. It sad and very diappointing after trying to suprise my wife that we are paying twice because they took advantage of a lost receipt which they say they dont give. Thats a new one to me...cash received but no receipt...yeah!

I took a AE-1 Canon Camera In Excellent condition, and a fairly NEW Digital Stereo Samsung Camera in there just to pawn for $50 bucks, and the guy just basically Threw me out of the store saying "we dont take those models"? Yet they have Nokia Cameras for sale at $300?? A cell phone maker who also makes cameras?...But you dont want to "Hold" a Vintage AE-1 Canon in excellent condition for $25 bucks? Im like the other OP...I will give it to the Goodwill or Charity instead...I will NEVER go there with ANYTHING else..and will let Others KNOW how Mean spirited they are without even a chance to "barter"...SMH

I went in to sell some things. I spoke to Wilfredo. After he analyzed the stuff, he asked me what I thought it was worth. After I gave him a price, he shook his head in anger and said no forget it and shoved the items back at me. I was willing to negotiate but not give away the stuff for nothing. They were everyday items. The prices they give there are so low, Im going to donate the stuff now. Pawn shops are ridiculous. You would be better off at a garage sale, craigslist, or ebay. Its also a creepy environment to hang around in.

WoW. They are amazing. I just got a ring from them 3 TIMES(!!!) cheaper then the same ring sold in Del Amo Mall!!! My gf will be so happy. I was thinking its some kind of mistake or a trick, but the manager explained to me why its so cheap in pawnshop and so expensive at the mall. I did my own research and he was telling me the truth. The dude is super nice, Ive even get something for myself too. They have a very nice selection of knifes and guitars. Defiantly will be back.

Dont get played get paid. With Big Store Pawn Shop! The best price I have ever gotten when I sold my gold. The customer service these guy Steve present is prestige .There is no better pawnshop in the city of Torrance. I dont care what anybody says about these guys they are the most reasonable pawnbrokers you can ever meet.

I have come first time just out of curiosity and found out very good deals and prices. Steve gave me very good advice on my ring and excellent price. I did my compassing shopping in the local mall jewelry stores and was amazed, they have asked 4 times more then Ive paid in pawnshop. Thanks guys!!!
