Its kind of like Sally Beauty Supply: it has some generic brands and some name brands and you dont have to have a license to shop for salon-quality products. The sales associates are very friendly and knowledgeable, they helped me find hair dye and product for straightening my hair (I am interracial, so its harder). The products I bought were $15-20 range for Redken. The hair dye was $8 for the color (I think it was a generic salon quality), $5 for developer. They also have a rewards card: with every purchase of $10 you get a stamp, and with 10 stamps you get $10 off next purchase (so buy $100, get $10). I will definitely be shopping there from now on.

I only shop for my supplies here. The staff is knowledgeable, very friendly and not overly helpful, just right. Prices are good and they have a frequent buyer program where you get $10 off when its full. Best beauty supply in South Pasadena for sure.
