After my last transaction with this place I will NO longer recommend them or shop here ever again! Back in April I went in and bought a furniture set and the recliner chair didnt show up with the set and was not told that it was on back ordered until June. So I then had my money refunded for that chair. Went in almost three weeks ago and even though the sales people are really nice, but when it comes to follow ups and getting back to people they are horrible. My mother is terminal and I let the sales girl Teresa know that we needed the chair in a timely fashion. She told us ten days tops, but it should be there sooner. Two week past and I had to call to find out what was the hold up. Set up delivery got a call a day before saying they couldnt deliver the chair in the time frame that was set up. I told them this wasnt ok and we are two weeks waiting for this chair. They said they would make sure it would stay within the time frame. Friday after the 3 p.m. no chair and no phone call. I called and talked to the manager and was told that the person that called said I had to rescheduled for another day. Not only did I take off work for this delivery, but to then be told the chair is in and they can deliver it on Wednesday. I was furious with them! They have lack of communication and no concern to their customers that are in need of their furniture at a timely fashion. I went to Becks that night got a better chair and motorized, PLUS cheaper then what they were charging me for a non motorized one and got it the next day! They have lost several customers because of this and I wouldnt go back to this store if it was the last one in the area!

I was looking for a new cal king bedframe to match my current bedroom set - the guy helping me rushed me through about 5 bedframes, almost losing me in the walk, but none was what I was looking for in color or in style. He told me to look at Scandinavian Designs, so I did. But I returned after 10 mins to get another look at the bedframes at American Home Furniture Galleries. As I walked in the second time, I overheard a sales lady say to another sales person, "Not that one". I assume she was referring to me because she saw me walked in once already and didnt buy anything. So the guy responded "Ok." And walked passed me to help the people who walked in after me. They were not interested to be haggled, and just wanted to browse, but the sales person followed them and joked "I need to make a sale!" Not funny. Another sales person came by to "help" me, I asked him where the specific bedframe was because I was lost. In the process, he started asking me personal questions like my ethnicity and how old I was.... who I was buying the bedframe for. In short, I did not appreciate the salespeople at this store at all. I visited thinking maybe getting a bargain bedframe, but I think Ill spend a couple hundred more and buying at RC Willeys instead where the salespeople are not sleazy.

Be wary.... High pressure sales tactics and sales people. Our sales guy Jay told us of we did not pick up the couch we had just purchased by a certain date, it would be sold! Then he does not bother to tell us that if we pick up ourselves, we have to drive 25 miles away to get it at their warehouse! THEN....yes, there is more..... Once we point this issue out to the manager, they try toile good in the lies and misinformation by delivering it to us, GREAT- we think.... Then our sectional arrives in boxes for us to put together ourselves.... The delivery guy says if we pay him he'll put it together for us.... I am so done with the place! The cheaper prices were not worth the hassles and stress they caused. Be very wary and get everything in writing. Will never buy from them again. I'm shocked about the other ratings, I can only guess it is them rating themselves with fake customers....this has to happen to other customers.

I would like to inform the customers of this establishment not to purchase a warranty on the furniture and be warned when shopping here in general. I have a dresser that I purchased their protection plan as I was informed it will cover any damage that was done to the dresser including water stains, scratches etc. Well, the drawer fell off the dresser because it was not manufactured properly. We were informed by their warranty company that this is not covered under our warranty because it was a manufacturers defect, not damage done to the unit. This is ridiculous. The lady told my wife and I that if we tripped and fell and broke the drawer it would be covered but since it is not technically damage they will not fix it. We will be cancelling the warranty and I will have to pay to have the drawer fixed. I will no longer be a customer of this company as this is terrible customer service.

Mi comentario esque compre un juego de sala en esta muebleria y no tenia ni dos años me engallaron los vendedores me dijeron que eran piel es mentira y la seguranza para cubrir cualquier daño sobre la sala no cubrió nada de lo que me dijo el vendedor es una muebleria muy mala con lo que vende y te ofrecen jamás le compraría algo no me ayudaron con nada de lo que me queje nose los recomiendo pondré fotos de mis sofases y los publicaré

I was shopping for a living room set consisting of sofa and a love seat with the console in the center, the sales person named Terry approached me as I entered the store. He took me around and helped me find what was suitable for me, I actually did not purchase on my first visit but I did have an invoice with the details of what I had chosen. My second visit was just in the same week, luckily Terry was there that day and helped me again There was another set that I really like, my husband and I tried it, and that was it, delivery was done the next day very punctual the delivery guys set the furniture up , it is now in my living room, nice and comfortable. I am very happy with it. Terry was sure a tremendous help, Maria D. Sampayo

I love to shop for furniture and of all their locations I like this one the best. I dont go to this chain looking for fantastic lasting furniture, but I do love to go to them looking for great bargain accent pieces and the Rocklin store is my favorite. The atmosphere here is more low key than the other salesman shark commission worker "CAN I HELP YOU?!!!" attitude you get at the other locations, and they have some great deals from time to time on closeout/clearance items. Generally if I want heirloom genuine western woods like real oak, cherry, walnut, etc. I go to McCreerys, but if I want fashion or short term decor pieces I love American Furniture Galleries.
