I wouldnt give this place any stars, but I had to give one at least. I went with a group of 4 because one of us was vegan. There were several things that made this experinece unacceptable. One, we waited at least 30 minutes (or over) to be seated and no one ever came out to notify us of our table. Two, the waiter was very unfriendly and unwelcoming. We asked for some recommendations, from their already small menu. They seemed very unfamiliar with the food. Three, the food took a while to come out and when we had it, it was unappetizing and we were all not impressed. The tofu scrambles were mediocre. The burrito lacked any sort of flavor. The chicken and waffle dish was chewy and a bit cold. Also, there was hardly any gravy. When we finished eating, there was no communication with the staff about our experience. Almost as if they didnt even want to know the truth. We walked away very upset. Vegan food should at least be extra delicious if you are going to overprice simple dishes. Will try, maybe, coming on a weekday. Sandwiches arent too hard to make, right?

The wait to be seated on Sundays can be long AND non-existent! Our party of four waited 40 minutes. They seated a party of two and a party of three before us. When the wait girl came out to call us, (I think) a couple of her friends walked up to put their name on the list. She grabbed them and crossed their name off (under a couple of other parties of two) and lead them to a table. The least they could do is explain to the other people waiting why the choose to seat people out of order. I know sometimes a two-top is only available and people may be seated out of order, etc. I guess the all the wait-persons vegan brains dont know how to seat parties greater than three or you have to be a friend of an employee or owner to get a seat there. At that point we left and walked to the Actual Cafe and had a fantastic breakfast.

you gotta love a vegan donut.....im not even a vegan! i will eat some bacon right after having vegan donut! I dont know what it is but Im not a vegan and I generally dont like donuts, but i am quite fond of these vegan donuts..... the salted caramel ones are the bomb! these are outstanding vegan donuts, one wonders how much coconut oil can they cram in an "O" to make it this good? i do think the funkier flavors could use just a tad bit more funk in the trunk but I like my flavors strong like my sherpas! and cmon everyone.... a chocolate donut with shredded coconut on top is a "Don King"! YAYAH!!!

Weve been to donut farm numerous times for their delicious vegan donuts. Today my wife decided she wanted to try the brunch. The food was very good but it was difficult waiting nearly an hour for it. What made it especially difficult was watching others that were seated after us receive their food while trying to encourage my 5 year old daughter to hold back her tears. The explanation given was an odd system in their kitchen that has many customers feeling antsy. The food was good enough to merit another visit, but not in the foreseeable future.

Best donut shop in East Bay area, serves breakfast & lunch/brunch & just happens to be 100% vegan with the tastiest Buffalo cauliflower around. Deliciously tasty, moist cake donuts, innovative flavors that do not disappoint. My new favorite donut flavor: curry coconut. Open 7 days a week, 7-3 weekdays for breakfast & lunch, 9-3 weekend brunch. Breakfast/brunch favorites include breakfast scrambles with hash browns, chickn & waffles with gravy or syrup. Lunch, try the rueben, buffalo cauliflower with ranch, greens as a platter or side.

Vegan donuts are cool and all but the food is really expensive and I just cant imagine their overhead is that high although I could be wrong. The turnover there is incredible, I never see the same person working their twice and the service is pretty bad. I work at a similar place and am very sympathetic to food service employees but I swear I feel unwelcome there. They always stare at me like I am a stranger who just walked into their living room in a leopard skin thong....

Those $3+ each organic donuts from that food cart at the SF Ferry building come from here. In addition to selling donuts (duh), this restaurant serves real food too - brunch and lunch! They had a special one morning of organic vegan pancakes with syrup made from candy cap mushrooms... amazing! Best syrup Ive ever had (not too sweet or sticky, kind of a lightweight version of maple syrup). My friends organic tofu scramble was also good, but not as good as those pancakes!

Not great and kinda racist. The first two things I ordered they didnt have, so that kinda ticked me off.... the food I got was ok, but not great. And I watched the white waitstaff be very friendly to all the white people coming in, but they watched this black lady like a hawk. Im black too, and I noticed they started watching me, but they stopped when they saw me looking at them. Im going back today for the biscuits and gravy. So ill report what happens

Never had brunch or lunch there but my friends and I all LOVE their vegan donuts, have for years. Weve even converted a few skeptics (that think negatively of vegan baked goods). There citrus fruit based glazes are our favorites though there are so many delicious flavors to choose from my Saturday group usually gets a sampler of twelve donuts then cuts them into slices so everyone can have a bite or two of each flavor we get.

This place is hard to find! My GPS was saying it was on one side of the street, when it was actually on the other side. Just make sure to look for the PINK DONUT in front of the street. We got 4 donuts: matcha, blueberry, salted carmel, and earl grey. The total came out to be around $11. For donuts! I appreciate the fact that these donuts are vegan and organic. But none of the flavors really wowed me.

Good brunch food, but NO POTATOES???? Whats up with that? Ive been hearing about the homefries-mixed-with-veggies dish from friends for months and finally made it there, and found out the NEW chef took potatoes off the menu! Only hashbrowns come with some dishes, but not even a side of home fries remains. :-( Sad. Whats vegan breakfast/brunch without homefries??

I didnt realize they do brunch here, I thought it was just donuts. I brought the family around to check it out, & it has very creative and interesting vegan takes on regular breakfast foods. Portion size is decent, good tasting, and reasonable prices. You seat yourself, and pay at the register. Location is so-so, very plain decor, limited seating.

O.M.G. You have to try Pepples! Like right now.....what are you waiting for? I have tasted most of the flavors (there are a lot to choose from) but blueberry is definitely my favorite. You cant really go wrong with any of them though so dont worry. I still cant believe their vegan (not that that matters to me). This place is magical!

Expected to be bored with these cake donuts. Instead found myself running away lest I buy AND eat a dozen of these tasties. With some inventive flavors, and certainly some TLC to make them great. Was bummed to learn they have menus for various meals. Will have to go back and check out the regular eats here. And yes, all vegan.
