A classic piece of Americana, this is a donut shop from the old days. This family-run business, has been supplying early morning commuters with donuts and coffee for years, and is conveniently located on the Solano San Pablo Avenue intersection, and is open 24 hours. What that means for the uninitiated is, if you are daring, or an insomniac, you can get hot fresh donuts right out of the fry, and there is nothing like a fresh donut fresh out of the fry. They usually make the raised glazed between 3 and 4:30 as well as the cinnamon rolls. An incredible experience all around. :-)

I miss you SO much, Happy Donuts! I am so sorry that a vehicle crashed through your front window on Easter Sunday 2017 and destroyed such a beautiful thing. All of us from the Saturday morning yoga class are looking forward to your reopening. Nobody makes donuts as good as yours!

Were so glad to see Happy Donuts open after being closed for 3 1/2 months due to an automobile smashing through the wall and into the counter. Grand reopening was yesterday, July 31st. Were sitting here at 5:36 AM scarfing down their delicious donuts... Off to bed!

If you are ever in Albany, CA you have to stop in this place. Doesnt look like it from the outside but it will be a wonderful experience. Try the cinnamon raisin donuts and a breakfast sandwich on their fresh croissants. Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!

I come here on a weekly basis usually after midnight because of my job in Richmond. The coffee ☕ is always hot and fresh, the donuts are good but you have to try their bacon, egg, and cheese Croissant... DEELICIOUS!
