I am giving this Pepboys a lower rating for good reason. I went in and had a "Front End Inspection" performed on an old car with a loud knocking in the front drivers side. I had looked under the hood prior and had seen that the bushing for my Strut was shot. They jacked my car up and told me all 4 struts needed to be replaced and that it was "unsafe" for me drive on them. They displayed that my tires needed to be replaced, which I am very aware of, but with it having issues with knocking Im not dumping $300.00 in tires at the moment. I got online to study what bad Struts would do and the only one my car suffers from is the bounce test. I dont bottom out, I dont jerk around...Nothing of this super negative nature that they were portraying. I then proceeded to look for just a bushing and sure enough there is just a bushing I can purchase. Granted the struts may be worn and need some attention, but at a price tag of over $1000.00 just to have them repaired I am not having it done. I was never informed, even after I told them money was tight at the moment, that I could replace just the bushing for the time being until I could save for a bigger repair. They are looking to make a fast buck and will seem like they are just the most helpful men/women. They are indeed very nice to you, but like most quick service shops they want money and only money, not reliable customers.

I am the type of person that is super chill but unfortunately i am very disappointed with this place. First time i went was for a tire repair. It was super fast and everybody was so nice. With my luck, i went shortly after to get another tire repair. I wasnt in any rush so i dropped it off and just waited to get a phone call. When i picked it up they were telling me that they had to jump my car twice because it wouldnt start. Ive had my car for two years and never have i had any issues. So i kind of thought about it and thought ok well maybe i do need a new battery. So the day after i started noticing some things. ALL of my settings were completely messed with (including my lights that were set on auto), i have no idea for what reason. I noticed that my back seat headrest was all the way up and mind you, nobody sits in the back. Im just completely irate and suspicious. It just seems like someone was snooping in my car when it was just a simple tire repair. I just hope that my car didnt suffer any damage to whatever they did to it when they had to jump it. Im sorry but i cant go back to this place again.

I recently took my jetta in there to have the rear brakes done. After spending over a $130 just to have the pads put on, they installed them wrong. I was driving down the road the right rear brakes were smoking with an aweful chemical smell. We pulled over, my husband pulled the tire off and the pads were on there wrong with the clips exposed. We took it to Pepboys only to deal with a woman in the service dept. who knows absolutely noting about cars. After an hour and a half of sitting there, watching the guys stand around smoking and chatting with only one car in the shop, they proceed to tell me husband that there may be air in the line and the lines need to be bled which is $79.99 and it also needs calipers which were good when I had just been in there. So what is going on here? The problem has not been resolved,and I am very disappointed with this place and there sevice. Putting on the brakepads is one of the least complicated services they provide and yet they cant do that properly??? dont risk it.

This is by far the worst service I ever experienced. I was called to pick up my car ,guy did not know where my paperwork was I stood in front of him for 15 minutes while he fumbled I eventually sat down only to see the guy texting on his phone . I stood at counter asking him well did you figure it out yet ? No he never did , my key ring was broken , when I got them back tire light still on told I needed two front tires. I already told them it was my rear passengers side tire. I payed for diagnostic test . Yet they failed to document any of the things I asked for , they left greasy finger prints on my upholstery brand new car, I got a oil change but my oil light still is on. Bolt on my hinge of drivers door was reported tightened , yet I got in my car it had not been tightened , I waited an hour after I arrived to pick up my vehicle . My rear window switch not working ,no documentation, oil light on tire light on ! Ill never go back this was a horrible experience . Lazy ,incompetent, super Rude

Myranda has horrible customer service. Extremely rude! her attitude and tone of voice she used towards me was just an unpleasant experience at the register. She quoted me a few hours for an alignment(Sunday morning 10am) and was very disrespectful when I asked how many customers were ahead of me. She said for me to leave the car for a few hours because she had 2 cars ahead of me and the one on the rack... Plus other appointments. Apparently I was next because around 10min later the tech came grabbed the keys for my car. He finished the alignment and I was in and out within 45min. The rest of the staff were great, along with the technicians. 5 stars for pepboys, 0 STARS FOR MYRANDA

My visit seemed pleasant but in reality after reading the reviews I should have gone somewhere else they do what they want to your car the guy at the front desk told me he would put Castrol synthetic they put cheapy penzzoil and over filled it is usually do my own work on my car for a reason I dont trust shops I wasnt feeling well next time Ill do my own work on my own car..plus what kind of technician puts 5-30 oil on a car that has 241 thousand miles..to all the people out there words of advise u need service on your car take it somewhere else and read the reviews some of these reviews that are good seem fake to me like they were posted by the employees.

This place is a complete waste of time. Took in my Altima to have front brakes done at 350.00. 2 months later squeaking like usual. Called and was told they didnt replace clips. So 350 doesnt get you clips ??? Let it be. Fast forward 1 year and took it in tone done right. They do the rears instead and a front wheel bearing. Ummmm wheel bearings make noise all the time not under breaking. Pick car up and brakes make noise right away. Call next morning and told The measurements were good. I pay you to make the noise go away not take a measurement and leave the noise. So 1000 dollars later and problem persists. They arent just bad theyre a joke

The service was excellent * although I already had my own scanner printout and I was told I was gonna need a diagnostic and a pre test well come to find out pretest are not required yada yada "" so I paied $ 90 for what I already knew ... One PVC hose end needed to be replaced they recommended injector cleaning and air filter replace $ 366 for the repairs thats not garenteeing the check engine will reset * not including smog and certificate ... SMH ... Im glad my wife did not being it in or wed be filing for bankruptcy ... Allan Silver 2001 F150 on 7/1/17
