I am a near La Honda local and went into the new La Honda Country Market (used to be Pioneer Market) today and was very pleasantly surprised. They have a beautiful new wooden decor and a great deli sandwich counter. They had hot soup too! They had lots of fresh produce, dinner meats, pasta stuff, house hold must haves such as shampoos/ toothpastes, and lots of neat hippie food! they know their customers! Some of the specialty items I saw were: delicious smelling oatmeal almond soap bar (which I bought), fresh carrot juice (which I also bought), lots of soy and rice milk, goat milk, ginger root, yellow beets, organic cereals and kid snacks. I think this place will do really well in La Honda, it has a nice welcoming neighborhood vibe, and items that fit their demographic.

Ive been very pleasantly surprised at the specialty items and local produce (and other local products) sold here. Were very pleased with the bakery items, deli, perishable as well as non-perishables and the PEOPLE here. We moved to a place just a few miles south of La Honda and were so happy to find what this market had become when it reopened its doors as La Honda Country Market just 15 minutes from us (instead of 35 to 40 minutes to the next closest place). Its also a great stopover on ones way from the bay to the coast. We hope that everyone is mindful in supporting this great local business!

There isnt a place I can write La Honda as a review so this will be the next best thing. The drive on La Honda is fun it all the curve roads and it eases as you turn. Usually I make a stop here and turn around. Kinda brings the past to the present as you enjoy the driving down roads that cut through the forest and see new things.

Stopped by here while on the way to HMB and was pleasantly surprised. I was hungry. So, I got a reuben and cheesecake and it honestly was one of the best reubens Ive ever had. Theyre service is friendly and funny! They definitely set my beach day to a good start!

Nice location with real small town feel inside. Just passing through and I had a long conversation with the checker and a local who had lost her dog the day before. We talked like old friends. Just a nice vibe here.

Staff very laid back. Proprietor had sense of humor and friendly to locals. Got handmade sandwich with drink there, sandwich tasted good and didnt make me sick.
