Ive got an HP DV6000 that kept shutting itself off and on and the display wouldnt work. I took it to Geek Squad and they told me that the nvidia graphics card had been overheating and slow cooked my motherboard to death. It was a problem that HP knew about but never fully addressed to their customers. Instead, they extended the warranty by a year but didnt inform me about it. I wouldve had to be diligently browsing their website to have ever known about the problem. I fought HP for several days but they wouldnt budge or honor my warranty, meaning the fix would have cost me anywhere between $400-$600 and take up to 6 weeks to complete. No thanks. Just when I was considering getting a new laptop, my computer genius friend found Johnson Computer online. We went out to see them and she told me that in actuality I didnt need to replace the motherboard at all; they just needed to repair the motherboard of the temperature damage and put a barrier between the motherboard and the graphics chip. She explained to me that HP was just being lazy and will do just about anything to make more money instead of working on the actual problem. The job was done in 2.5 hours; my friend and I grabbed lunch and hit up the mall while we waited. I got back and my laptop was as good as new! She even gave it a thorough cleaning! She did it all for $185 and was so confident that the problem was fixed, she extended the customary 30 day satisfaction guarantee to 90 days! If the problem were to present itself again, I could bring it right back and shed repair it free! My laptop now works beautifully, never overheats, and the fan rarely needs to kick in anymore. Its like having a brand new laptop at a fraction of the price! So friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I will definitely be going back for all my computer needs. Forget Geek Squad, everyone should go here!!

In the days of computer help I was not a fan of Frys Electronics and Central Computing. I even try Best Buy who I had to call back a number of times back when they were to come to your place for help. But then I found Johnson Computers and I have been going to them for the last 9 plus years. When I had a problem they look into it and solve the problem. I had 3 different laptops that they had fix, with their knowledge base and quickness, they came through. They even help me in hard drive back up to cleaning my dirty laptop. Jane was easy to talk to and her personnel came through and went beyond my expectation. I remember when I was in business and time is money, I had reports to go out and they stay into the evening to get my laptop back in time so that I can get my reports out. With Time is Money, U cannot fuss about the cost as your business accounts for fast delivery, when the computer is a must to get things done. I will go back to them and they are easy to talk to. I had problem with Frys Electronics and Central Computing in the SF bay area, and they do not care if U in business nor that U have to get things done, its their time that is important and not YOU. I can on and on but dont read my comments, just take your business to Johnson Computers and U tell me if JC is the Best.

The DC jack on my Samsung laptop failed causing it to not power up after the battery died. I feared the worst as reviews on Samsung customer support werent good at all. So, I decided to search locally for reputable repair facilities and found just the right one with Johnson Computer. All the reviews I read had nothing but praise for this business so I thought Id give it a try. I called and was told that the problem could be fixed in just a few hours and to bring the laptop in. True to their word the DC jack was replaced in just a few hours and my laptop is now working perfectly. What impressed me the most was 1) their "can-do" attitude and 2) when I arrived at their office to pick the laptop up they didnt charge me anything or discuss the bill (which was a very reasonable rate by the way) until I had an opportunity to go back in their shop and view the finished task. Thus, I was able to make sure they actually performed the service and that my laptop was in fact working. This was a great experience all the way around and should I have problems with any of my other computer equipment Johnson Computer will be my first call.

Had a cracked LCD screen that wouldve cost around $400 to repair at my local Best Buy. Decided to give Johnson Computers a try based on glowing customer reviews, and I am very happy with my decision! The price to get my screen replaced was nearly slashed in half and was done very quickly (brought it in at 5:20 PM and got it fixed around an hour later!) and thoroughly. Not only was the service exceptional, but Jane was kind enough to give me a tour of their lab and the tools that they use - very cool! I think its worth mentioning that they also repair motherboards at the component level. They have a technician in the backroom who diagnoses faulty motherboard circuits with an oscilloscope then replaces the faulty component(s)! Most computer repair services I am familiar with just end up ordering a new motherboard for you and essentially "click" it in place (snore)! Oh yeah - their webpage is pretty crummy, so dont let that dissuade you from doing business with them. Service so good, they dont need to care about that stuff. Their service markets itself!

Johnson Computer fixed my Dell desktop system in just a few hours and at a VERY reasonable price. I had shopped around and been given both higher prices and told it would take anywhere from 3 days to a week. Imagine how pleased I was to find out that I could get my system back before the end of the day. Even more importantly, they kept me informed -- several phone calls kept me up to date and they were very careful to ensure that some new parts they were recommending were OK with me and I REALLY appreciate not getting any surprises on my bills. Johnson Computer is easy to find, and get to from anywhere in the East and South Bay; free parking in a safe, secure neighborhood. The staff is friendly competent and made sure that I was completely satisfied before they released my computer back to me. Such old fashioned caring service is almost unheard of today. I can more than recommend them; I will way that IF you go anywhere else, you must be a gambler.

This place is a lifesaver! I took my desktop in at 4:30 pm & they diagnosed it by 6 pm. 7 capacitors were bulging causing it to shutdown down the video. This problem had been occurring intermittently for over a year but had progressed to the point that it would only stay in for about 5 seconds. They replaced the capacitors & I had my computer back by 10 am the next morning. Jane called & told me what they found & they would replace the capacitors. She felt that would solve the problem but she was upfront & explained that if it didnt a new motherboard would be needed. I had already been told by 2 other techs that a new motherboard was needed but since the main programs I needed run on XP it wasnt a good option. She was the only one to mention the capacitors & it worked. Their prices are very reasonable. The work was great & turn around fantastic. If youre pulling your hair out because of computer glitches this is the place to go.
