This Philz is the second one Ive been to, the other being in Sausalito. The baristas are great. Id you havent been to a Philz, you should know that they only serve coffees and teas - no lattes, no blended drinks. The fanciest they get is a mocha (which is delicious either hot or iced). If you want a special treat, and something different than any other coffee shop does, get the Mint Mojito (its an iced coffee with mint leaves) and get it Philz Way (thats sweet and creamy for they laymen). I usually order my own drinks light cream, no sugar, but Philz Way is definitely the way to go if you dont mind indulging a bit. They very recently revamped their food selection, beyond what used to be just pastries. Now you can get breakfast burritos, loaded bagels, and toasts piled with toppings. Yum!

Nice, no-stress experience. Every. Time. Ugh...call me hipster, call me basic...I dont care. Back in the day Glendale had like 3 Starbucks plus the one in Target, and of course the mom-and-pop cafes that survive (yay) so its great to see some more variety popping up. Yes it has lots of hype but Philz isnt going to change your life because its a coffee shop so dont be sad when it doesnt! That said, its a welcome addiction (er...typed that accidentally but going to leave it...) to the row across the Americana. Hasnt been too busy when Ive dropped in. Quality coffee. At other locations I leaned towards the Ecstatic Iced Coffee but recently traded in my own soul for that smooth Philtered Soul recd by one of their many friendly baristas.

Friendly staff, unique coffee drinks, and good vibe. Its hard to beat the Mint Mojito, but everything is pretty tasty. I like the idea of ordering from a bar and then paying later. Seems like it would be timesaving since you dont have to wait to get to the cashier for them to start making your drink. A little pricey and no reward system, but a $1 off if you bring your own cup. Parking is pretty bad. I just park at the Americana (1 hr free) and walk over. A bit of a hassle so I only come when Im craving a Mint Mojito or when Im already in the area.

About time Philz Coffee made it to Southern California. its a pour over coffee joint. so dont expect any frappucinos. only downside is they dont make espressos, because they dont use machines. If you have never been, definitely get their Mint Mojito. as it is one of their signature drinks. Cold is definitely the best way to go, as I tried it warm, isnt as satisfying or refreshing. Other favorites of mine are the Tesora, Philtered soul, and Philharmonic. They also sell whole coffee beans.

RSVP SOFT OPENING. I was waiting in line and Along Came a Barista and she was explaining to us all the different kinds of coffees and letting us know if were not happy they can get a new cup of coffee for us. The Barista came by she was talking to PEOPLE in line and she was wearing a wonderful PHILZ logo on her sweatshirt .I received a very very good cup of coffee and The Barista asked me if it was good . I let her know it was perfect. Yes , I like filtered coffee from Philz.

Philz occupies that nice sweet spot between the big corporate coffee chains and the artisan coffee spots. They have fantastic pour over coffee, lots of blends to choose from, and excellent service. Love how the baristas take the time to make your cup exactly the way you want it. Only downside is the pastries, which were a bit of a disappointment.

Meh. With all the hype, i was expecting alot more. All they do, is just regular coffee. Im no latte snob, but something other than coffee would help. Yes, they do have a large selection of beans, and if you are a true aficionado, you might taste something magical, but for the most part, tasted no different from other coffees

Not as cozy or inviting as the ones in Silicon Valley. Open spacious industrial theme. Yet another Philz with a line that works only in someones (lack of) imagination... Its anyones guess where or how this line works. If youre looking for a coffee shop ... As in coffee... It cant be beat, thats any Philz.

I have abandoned Starbucks for this place. First off: they have my now favorite coffee. Ambrosia - Coffee of the Gods. How do you say no to this??? The mint mojito is also crazy great. Pleasantly surprised the mint comes through so strong but not overpowering the coffee. PLEASE COME TO NORTHRIDGE

Great pour over coffee made to order with 3 custom levels of sweetness and cream. I find that Philz way (+2 sweet, +2 cream) is a nice balance, even though i tend to veer away from sweet drinks. Service is on point and they will gladly adjust your beverage for you.

This place is so simplistic and aesthetically pleasing, I love it. The coffee is also divine! I had the vanilla latte and tried the peppermint one as well. I prefer the vanilla but the peppermint was really good too!

I dont even like mint. But, their iced mint mojito is the absolute BOMB. It needs to be tried Philz Way. You first have to order at the front, go to the back to pay, then head back to the front to pick up your order.

Love my espresso drinks - but the coffee at Philz Coffee was the best cup of coffee that I may have ever had - simply a great cup of coffee - smooth taste without any bitterness- will definitely be back!!!

Great coffee place, you can specify the sweetness (s, m, l). We had the mocha Toscana iced and it was an excellent refreshing pick me up after a large meal at Din Tai Fung. Staff was young and friendly.
