I love this store. i discovered it when Food for less stopped selling HONEYSUCKLE GROUND TURKEY. This is my favorite brand of turkey burger. I have been only shopping at the firestone store for two weeks but I will be a customer for as long as they keep selling Honeysuckle turkey burger. However, what I also like about this store is that it is so clean, and organized. the staff speaks ENGLISH, when I ask a question I get an answer in ENGLISH. The staff makes the customer feel like spending money and the sales are awsome. I also appreciate the SENIOR CITIZEN that works in the meat department. She has a wealth of knowledge, and i am proud of management that hired her. Also the parking is wonderful. I also feel very safe. See you guys once a month early on Saturdays is a great time to shop. I come all the way from Hollywood on the streets. I do not drive on the freeway so my drive is long but worth it. THANKS FOR SUCH A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE. I also appreciate the African american hair products that you sell too.

I DRIVE ABOUT 7 OR 8 MILES TO GET TO THE STORE. Oops And I really like the place. The staff is warm and friendly the store is always clean and the prices are way better than Ralphs, Albertsons or Vons. What I like best is the meat Dept. I always find what I want. The steaks are thick and you get the family pack price if you buy over 3 or 4 lbs. I have never been to the Deli so I think that will be next. I have been in a few stores that may have been better...... but a six pack and a steak cost me a little over $20.00. Bottom line is Im sticking with Stater Brothers. .

All good until checkout where they refused to sell me beer because I was from a different state. Showed them my legal NC driving license and they made up some nonsense about only accepting California Ids and passports after giving it a thorough look over and calling a manager. Im 23 and used that same id to board a plane just 2 days before. Showing them all my other cards with the same name did nothing to change their mind so I went across the street to Grocery Outlet where they accepted my legal id no problem.

They lie about their sales. Seriously, false advertising all around the store. Its absolutely ridiculous. When you ask employees about it, some say one thing while others say something completely different. So unorganized and all theyre trying to do is trick you into thinking youre getting a great bargain. As soon as you get to the register, its like "think again! " , they end up charging you more and make you think you understood the sales tag wrong, so its your fault. Never again coming to this place.

This is my neighborhood supermarket. Great prices and exceptional customer service. Im originally from SF, where there are no Stater Bros, and the one thing I can say is that this one location in Downey has made me a local customer. Food selection is vast, deli has a tremendous variety of meats to choose from ... and did I mention they have great prices?

Fried chicken order on the 4th of July was raw..called deli they said come and get refund manager didnt make it easy without receipt which I informed them i didnt have. Big disappointment I deserve respect from places I spend my hard earned money. Not everyone is trying to get something for nothing.
