"Its the hardest thing Ill ever have to lie, To show no emotion when you start to cry." - "The Hardest Thing", 98 degrees 98 degrees C - 13 degrees C = 85 degrees C! 85C, the Asian Portos to those not in the know, has opened in my hood, Cerritos, revitalizing the Cocos shopping center. 2 lines expedite the big crowds that shop here. The line on the right for everything sold in the store, with the line on the left for cakes/drinks only. Despite being busy in the early afternoon, the lines quickly moved along. After browsing the baked goods, we opted for the mocha bread & brioche- The mocha bread was very good, with nuts and chocolate rolled inside for a filling snack. Its pretty large and a nice treat. The brioche was, dare I say, better than ensaymada! Yes, Im Pilipino and I just said that! Light, fluffy and buttery. Each morself a slice of heaven! Like the mocha bread, the brioche was a large size and definite bang for the buck. In addition, both werent too sweet, which is a big plus. I didnt feel too bad partaking of these baked goods, although I am trying to stay away from wheat & grains. Oh well! Diets can always start tomorrow ;p The main thing I wanted to try for my inaugural visit was the sea salt jasmine green tea. We had a medium green milk tea & the aforementioned sea salt jasmine green tea- The sea salt jasmine green tea was delicious! The floral scent of jasmine permeated my senses with each sip. Unfortunately, I didnt mix it up very well, so the sea salt was more towards the end of my drink. At least now I know to mix it up really well next time. And there will be a next time, oh yes, there will be a next time! I had a few sips of the green milk tea, and it was good as well. Service was quick at the register. Parking is in a private lot and can get quite busy, with Gen KBBQ, Yuzu, Class 302 Cafe, Pho 77, Cocos and other businesses sharing the same lot. 85C Bakery Cafe, Class 302 Cafe, Northern Cafe opening soon - thats a lot of cafes in close proximity to each other! 85C, I am a fan and convert! Your baked goods are yummy and easy on the wallet, while your drinks are refreshing and tantalizing to the palate. I live very close so expect to see my smiling face & my ample backside often ;p Highly recommend! NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

I was so excited to find out that 85 Degrees was going to open in Cerritos! :) Great place to grab some Asian breads, and milk tea or coffee! They also sell whole cakes and individual-sized pastries/cakes. Seating: Lots of tables and chairs. Definitely more spacious than other 85 degree bakeries Ive been to. Drink: -Iced sea salt coffee - Amazing! -Green milk tea - I love the fragrant Jasmine green tea flavor! Bread: -Cheese stick - garlicky, cheesy goodness -Portugese Egg Tarts - Yummy! The custard is rich and creamy. -Coffee/Mocha bun - yummy! love the chocolate & coffee combo -Taro bun - not too sweet, but love the taro flavor.. however, this bun isnt as good as the one in Hacienda Heights Parking: -Lots of parking in the plaza, shared with Gen Korean BBQ and the shabu shabu place Overall, I still feel like they are working on the breads. The quality is up to par as the one in Hacienda Heights. But the workers are definitely more friendly here.

This location is OK, but I think the fact that it tends to get crowded forces me to consider other similar cafes if I am looking for a quieter atmosphere. Then again, this seems to be somewhat of a common theme at the other 85C locations (e.g., Fullerton, etc.). I usually come here for the drinks, and the service is good. With the crowds, though, it could take a little while to get your drink. Tables and seats are limited when there are a lot of people, so it is not uncommon for people to constantly be on the lookout for people who are leaving a table. The cafe is usually quite clean, and the lighting/ambiance is generally good (outside of the fact that it can get loud inside). Parking can be a challenge, as other popular places (e.g., Gen, North Shore, Monora Thai, Creamistry, Class 302, etc.) are located in the same plaza. I view this 85C location as more of an "order and go" place due to the crowds on most days.

This bakery is one of the best I have found in and around Buena Park. They have a wide variety of decadent deserts and freshly baked bread. As you walk in you are greeted with the scent of sweets and freshly baked pastries (one of my favorite scents). There is ample seating and the cafe is well lit. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Everything is neatly arranged in glass display cases. You grab a tray, a pair of clean tongs and begin a delightful journey as you walk around looking for which bread or pastry of the many options you wish to try. It is all reasonably priced and every item is baked to perfection. You cannot just have one, once you try one you will keep coming back for more. Happy hunting everyone!!

This bakery is a spacious, sort of hip establishment that tempts you with various treats just inside the door. Grab a tray and snag what you prefer, head to the counter and order coffee, pay then find a table to enjoy your selections. There is a lot to choose from: chocolate chip bread is pretty good, tiramisu should be left to (or consulted with) the Italians, though a white chocolate filled pastry was rave worthy. Everything is kept up well - things are very clean in both the public area and behind the counter. Goods are kept stocked and their cases clean. With ample selection and lots of seating, its easy to be noshing quickly on something new or tried and true.

Dont be scared away if there is a line, because there is ALWAYS a line! The desserts here a pretty amazing, and very reasonably priced. I opt for the sweets that are kept behind the counter in the cold-case. They are great to bring a selection to dinner parties or family gatherings, and their take-out packaging is very well done -- each dessert looks like its gift wrapped! I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried something really new -- salted iced coffee. I wasnt sure what to expect, but it was AMAZING. The milk-foam they put over the coffee is hand-whipped with just a little salt added, just enough to make all the flavors really come alive!

This is one of the more spacious 85c Bakeries in terms of square footage. However, the bread selection area isnt as big but its thorough meaning they carry all the "main" types of bread. Im slightly disappointed that the last few times there werent any multigrain buns. Merchandise moves quickly so the bread is always fresh. Lines move quickly as well. My favorite part about this branch is the number of available tables/seats to hangout. The restrooms are also very clean. Great spot to kill some time before meeting up with friends at the neighboring restaurants, which is exactly what Im doing right now!

We come here often and its normally good, but yesterday I had terrible experience with Martha. She incorrectly charged for an extra item. I pointed out the mistake and then Martha requests to check the bag to confirm the quantity. She corrected the bill but who insinuates a customer and questions their intention. Martha then throws the change at me as if I did something wrong. I guess she was in a bad mood. She needs to get some attitude adjustment training or be let go for the sake of the business. Have a nice day.
