So when I first walked into the Firecreek Coffee Company on a slightly rainny and cool Thursday mid-May morning, the entire ambiance of this place - the art, the salvaged wood facade counters, and the opening to full-fledged bar and sound stage towards the back of the shop all screamed one thing very, very loudly: 100% Indie-grazed, FDA Certified and Approved Hipster. "A coffee shop in the old downtown district of Flagstaff is hipster-y?? **My God**, THE APOCALYPSE AND RAPTURE ARE UPON US!!!!!!!!1one" However, lets get to brass-tax: 1. The coffee is good. Really good: A regular, "All Merican Man," like myself ordered a regular coffee and some cream. The result: Great coffee, my own chilled hydroflask of Straus Family Organic half and half (great choice) and the promise of free-refills for < $3. All I can have Mericano coffee for sub $3!? Thank you very much and F### YOU, -FourBucks- 2. Super friendly staff: Yeah, he was wearing lots of flannel, and eventually was joined by another person I can only imagine was a local hipster deacon, top-not pony-tail, John Muir Beard and sporting a single-breasted *wool dress coat* over his flannel,... but darn these guys were nice, and pretty cool. ...so <$3 coffee w/refills and friendly, warm and personable local hipsters, even to a very clearly non-hipster like myself? Thatll be a big giant pile of, "F### Yeah, may I please have some more excellent coffee, good sirs of the coffee shop?" 3. None of that "Hipster BS" that I might not like: None of that, "Dolphin Spirit Shaman" seminar ads or bulletins Ive run into in some other independently owned coffee-shops, nor any of the "hey, I forgot if Im a coffee shop or a tower records for Folk/Hipster artists," like we all experience from a particularly large franchise where everything is magically, "FourBucks," just good coffee. So, hyperbole aside: - Good Coffee, plus refills for good ol regular coffee for good ol regular folks - Friendly People - No Dolphin Spirit Shaman Bulls###. I would be curious to check this place out in the evening when the "real bar" is open, so that might be something for you to consider should you find yourself passing through and happen upon this very excellent coffee shop.

This review is regarding coffee and espresso drinks only. If you are looking for a specialty coffee beverage, this is the best place in Flagstaff I have found so far. The beans are roasted in house and kept in fresh rotation (1-2 weeks from the roasted-on dates I see in the shop today). Espresso is fine - milk for milk drinks is steamed a little too hot, milk proteins are slightly denatured and broken, but still a very serviceable preparation. Pour overs are in Bonavitas version of the Clever immersion dropper and therefore subject to the weaknesses of that brew method but still left the black honey process Costa and Tanzania washed intact and drinkable. This place has been a god-send in what has been a coffee wasteland thus far. We will be back for sure.

I stopped in here yesterday with my Dad and my boyfriend, based on my Dads previous experience visiting Flagstaff. He loves coming to Firecreek when hes in town, and now we know why. We loved the coffee, tea, and atmosphere of this place. I couldnt believe we bought 3 drinks for 10 dollars as well. Ive never been to a genuine, nice coffee house for that cheaply. I got the Pinhead Gunpowder green tea with some of their local honey, and just the fact that they carry it shocked me, lol. Absolutely delicious, extremely fast and friendly service, with great prices and atmosphere. They really have it all. My boyfriend got a second drink to go, he enjoyed his experience so much. We will most definitely be returning any time we visit Flagstaff. :)

Really enjoying our time cooling down in Flagstaff as we live in Phoenix. We came across this coffee shop today and decided to give it a go as it looked nice. This was about 5pm today. Unfortunately the lady at the counter was very rude. No hellos as we stood at the bar and she just stood silently waiting for us to say something. I asked twice for a larger cup of water as the small plastic ones at the front were too small and I was really thirsty. I asked again and she said arent the ones at the front acceptable for you?, all said in a highly condescending tone. Ok, maybe shes having a bad day but it doesnt cost anything to be nice to people who are being nice to you. Shame.

Brunette bartender is the worst bartender in the city of flagstaff. You can ask her to watch your drink, only to have another worker take it and pour it out. When you ask about it, theyll say: "sorry its not my problem"! While also belittling me as if "Id never been in a bar before.." Too me, sounds like the workers dont care about their customers. Absolutely regretable decision for late night outing especially when there are better bars with superior ambiance.

This is a review for the coffee only as I was not able to make it for the beer and live music. The decor is unique and fun, but could probably be done a little better. The tables are small, and hard to sit at if you are the slightest bit tall. The coffee is good, but not excellent. It will warm you up and caffeinate you but dont expect to be blown away by any of it. All that said, I still like this place and would definitely go back.

Great Coffee & Wine Bar! Drove all the way from Surprise to Flagstaff to see The Donkeys perform, Oh Yeah! Love the small venue that lends itself well for acoustics and a personal experience. Arrived early enough to enjoy a great a delicious Espresso and stayed late enough to enjoy an IPA. Love the vibe for simple cup of joe or small concert venue.

Not sure how long these guys have been in village of oak creek but from what I understand they recently moved there from cave creek. Couple kinks (chef forgot eggs on an egg based sandwich, oops!). However, breakfast and coffee are very good, they roast on site. Friendly and helpful staff. Pumpkin Belgian waffles were awesome, def recommended!

I love everything about this place; from the live music of open mic night to the sweet locally baked pastries. The dark chill vibe wakes me up and levels me out, cant wait until Im 21 to taste some of that late night goodness. Also its very spacious unlike everyother coffee place in flag. Nothing compares.

Likely one of the most comfortable cafes I have ever been to. The coffee is great, wherein they have a variety of daily roasts to choose from, and it shows that they care about each cup. A bit pricey, but it comes with the atmosphere, Wi-Fi, etc. Well worth it!

Very disorganized! Barista stopped making drinks to find customers who ordered. Main cashier had know idea what products he sold, moved at a snails pace! We watched as customer after customer got frustrated with the lack of service. Coffee was average at best

My favorite coffee place in Flagstaff and the only third wave coffee here. A nice venue, good wifi, and even some beers and wine here (although a bit expensive). Events happen here frequently, a great place to hang out and see good shows.

Good coffee. Breakfast pastries seemed limited but the oatcup is tasty and not too sweet. Wish it were a little less expensive. $7+ seems like a lot for 12 oz coffee and pastry. Thats the price though for quality, ambience and location.
