This is why we will no longer be shopping at Fresh Market. The little things mount up. When the store on Perryhill Road opened we were excited. We live close. Received mail with grand opening specials. A wine that I like caught my eye. They didnt have it and was told to look closely at the ad. "Sold in some stores only". What? This is only store in Montgomery! After that I noticed a mood, not a good one, seemed every time I shopped. Thought just me. Then maybe a year ago my wife, who seldom complains, told me that she was experiencing rudeness in a couple departments. Not a surprise to me. Anyway I dealt with a corporate office and they were good. In fact made some department corrections. She decided to continue shopping there. I decided not to. Couple days ago she purchased some produce. Not realizing but it was due to expire the next day and when she got it home and opened the package discovered it was not good. I returned it this morning early. Was greeted by what I assume was the manager. She was nice enough told me to wait in line behind someone and I did. Waiting, she was helping him look up phone numbers etc. on his phone...guess they were friends and seemed very be having a VERY good time. Bottom line - This is not the professional Establishment that I expected or that we pay high prices for while shopping there. I hope this review is helpful.

Out of date juice and molded cheese! Pics below! Terrible staff! Especially management and cashiers! I went in a month ago and bought cheese, potatoes, and naked juices like I planned to do. I get my juices and theyve been out of date for two years!!! Pics below for proof. I told the heavy set store mgr and he said "you want another one?" I said "are you even going to apologize!?" He said "yeah sorry these things happen" are you kidding me!?! Then I got my ny cheddar from the deli, pick it up and it was molded. Cant get anyones attention in the deli cause theyre all talking to each other. Go to the front to check out and tell cashiers about mold on my cheese, but theyre all chit chatting as well, giggling and laughing, not even recognizing Im there holding a shopping basket. They finally turn around and go "you need help?" I said "no, forget it" and I left. Just do yourselves a favor, save the hassle, and go to Whole Foods. This place is going down hill

I used to patronize the Seafood Bar as an alternative to as fast food lunch but no more. The last four times I checked the item billed as containing Halibut one time I counted seven flakes of ?Halibut? One time! Every other time, nothing even close. And then the price went from $9.99 a pound to $12.99 a pound! I really was feeling ripped off at $9.99, havent been in the store since. I am only one customer and only spent $20.-$25. a trip 2-3 times a week, but lately I have heard a couple ladies at the gym saying similar things. You really need to look at that area. It just isnt worth the trip any more. The Salmon-Seaweed item is gross, the Shrimp Salad with the celery in creme fresh lacks imagination. It needs rethinking and a price reduction. Thanks

I visited the Fresh Market on Perry Hill Road Montgomery Alabama on May 14th and was verbally and almost physically attacked by one of the Deli employees for no reason at all. Upon notifying the Manager" The older manager" was about to discipline the employee when "Drew" another Manager stepped in and started blaming me for the employees actions. I contacted corporate office they said that the situation would be handled. The employee still works there. I WAS a loyal customer for many years, I will never visit that location or any other Fresh Market for that matter ever again. That is BAD for business!! So let your friends and family know to BEWARE of this locations employees!

The Fresh Market was a fairly typical healthy-oriented grocery store as opposed to a big-box store like Meijer/Walmart. This store was definitely the best grocery store option in the area for an out-of-town traveler looking for produce and better options than restaurant dining. The place was well-sized, bright and clean, and the staff was competent and speedy.

Prices are laughably high at times, but their specials are great values. Some awesome meats and produce. Decent selection of ethnic ingredients as well. Small alcohol selection. Friendly staff, buy many of them dont seem too knowledgeable of what theyre selling. Still- very happy to have this place in Montgomery. Looking forward to whole foods though.

I love The Fresh Market. Their produce is pricey, but its always exceptional. We visit this grocery store in order to find items we cant find at our local grocery store. The olive bar, salad bar and meat selections are always top notch. Definitely recommend if youre looking for hard to find ingredients.

The produce is fresh and tasty. The seafood is very good. I bought two different coffee beans and ground them. I got French Vanilla and Salted Caramel. Very good for my wakeup in the mornings. The meat counter is fresh. Service is spot on. The people here are very helpful and nice!

Favorite grocery store, best place to get fresh produce, fresh fish, but my husbands meats here always grain fed no horomones in their products, can also get local grown as well. A little pricey at times but you pay for quality.

This was my first time in the Fresh Market and I was very impressed. Not with the prices but the quality. Its like the Nordstrom of Grocery stores. I loved that they had quick grab n go items for a quick lunch or dinner.

Looking for specialty wines, great deli selections, fresh fruit and veggies and even a good selection of sushi? Well look no more! This is not just your average food market. Plus the staff is helpful and informed.

When there are sales, this is a good store. The selection is small compared to your average market, and the prices are a bit too much higher. They do have good sales though, and the location is convenient.

Love their atmosphere! Small, quiet, relaxing. Love to buy organic raisins there. Dont remember the brand but they are the best raisins ever! Also have great noodles by TFM brand. Great meat counter also.

Pros- Lots of organic options and lots of fresh fruits to choose from. It is a very friendly market. Cons- Prices tend to be a bit high but then again, a good variety or all-natural products.

This is the best specialty market in town. Great selection of fresh produce, coffees, wines and excellent meats as well as a killer bakery. Way better than Whole Foods.
