Recently Gap, Wet Seal, Body Central and Rock and Roll Sushi closed its doors.....it is to my understanding that Colonial Bel Air has a new owner and things are suppose to change hopefully for the better, but in the meantime the mall SUCKS! We have absolutely no selection or upscale stores.....the mall is dead and dull. Do you know why? When? What happened? I was told by one of the associates at Gap that the new owner lease terms are outlandish and tenants are opting to close its doors, so sad what a tragedy. Mobile is already slow and fashionable behind.... I hope this change is for the better and possibly some upscale stores or a bigger variety like H&M, Banana Republic, Saks Fifth Avenue, BEBE.....it has got to get better if it gets any worse then this mall is doomed and we have to spend out hard earned tax dollars in another city and/or state......

Buyers beware! I had to visit this store because the other location did not have the product. I went in to do a warrenty exchange. Best Buy no longer carry the LG Infinim so I had to get the upgrade the LG platinum. Well Daniel Johnson the general manager wanted to make me pay for the new ones and disregard the warranty exchange. After I made him aware that I was well advised in how the warranty exchange works he stated to me "SO MY STORE WILL HAVE TO TAKE A HIT?" I told him this was Best Buy and the warranty Best Buy sold me. He went on to say he will do it this time but for me not to come back to this store to do it again. I then told him I will come (if the need be) and he or whomever would have to honor the warranty. He told me he didnt care how I waste my time.

This mall is well under average. It is in a bad part of town, it smells, and the layout is awkward. When I went there, I was afraid my car would get stolen!!! The help in the stores is not great either. No greetings or, "may I help you". The workers are very nonchalant and are just there for a paycheck. So, if you need help finding something, hopefully you know where it is located (This is based on about 4 stores I went to- quickly!). I would definitely not suggest this mall unless there is something you must absolutely have, get in and get out!!! Not to mention you could develop some kind of disease from the mold and mildew this mall is infested with... gross!!!!

The Target here smells like popcorn and urine when you walk in. The mall is barely worth going to. All of the stores are smaller than in most malls that have the same stores. For a city the size of Mobile, this mall is a disgrace. Go to the Eastern Shore Center and avoid this dirty waste of a space. It also has a sort of ghetto feel to it - trash in the parking lots (like most of Mobile), potholes in the parking lots and pigeons always flying around all over the place to try and find food people constantly throw down outside. Its basically like all of Mobile - avoid it. I suggest you live and shop on the Eastern Shore if youre going to live in South Alabama.

If there was a star for zero rating I would have selected it. All the best stores are gone. You are better off going to Steinmart, or the shopping center on Dauphin Street by Springhill Memorial Hospital. If these new property mangers think they have made a great change at Bel Air Mall with Pf Changs they have missed the mark. People go to the mall for inventory. That is something you want to biuy. There are 4 or 5 of the same stores inside. My relatives in the Atmore are say they no longer visit Bel Air Mall for shopping, they go to Pensacola to shop. That is how horrible the selection is at Bel Air Mall.

Currently, Bel Air Mall is a super-regional shopping center going through a transitional phase. Gradually, the subpar, tentative local stores are being replaced with more appealing national and regional retailers. H&M, Altard State, LOFT, Chicos and Aldo Shoes are some of the new stores coming into the mall itself. A new flagship Belk store will anchor an open air streetscape along the front of the mall. PF Changs, Grimaldis Pizzeria, and others will tenant this lifestyle streetscape over the next couple of years. On the whole, Bel Air is in better shape now than it was in previous decades.

I visited Foot Locker for a return early morning on two separate occasions and they advised me they didnt have enough to give me a refund that I should come back but due to my work schedule I couldnt return in the evenings. Therefore, I returned again in the morning and was advised the same thing...by the time I tried to return again they advised me I waited too long to return the item because the return time frame expired...it wasnt my fault they never had enough money in the morning to refund my return. But ole well, Im stuck with shoes I cant use and my experience is flawed with them.

This is for "Adamas Jewelry " They are some super nice people here that own and operate the store and have the finest jewelry and one of a kind designs that you wont see anywhere else! After finding the most beautiful bridal rings for my future wife this past spring and on sale as well, we returned recently to have her rings sized and found my wedding band that perfectly matches hers and was on sale too! Highly recommend this fine jewelry store as I plan to revisit for my future jewelry purchases. Sincerely, J.L. Fleming Saraland, Al.

This mall is clean and recently remodeled. The stores are all nice, and they have a couple places to eat inside the mall that have very good food. I would give it more stars if they had anything there for kids, but they dont. This mall used to have a carousel but it was removed. I understand that they want to cater to a certain age group, but it wouldnt hurt to make it a bit more family friendly. The only thing I love about this mall is that they have a Target store.

WOW. This place has changed SO MUCH over the years! I used to spend weekends here when it was "Bel Air Mall"! First it was a really cool place to go, then it kind of wasnt anymore & started to decline, but under this new management, they seem to really be working to improve the atmosphere & get new businesses in that Mobilians have wanted. They also are doing a better job with their community outreach & social media presence!

Great atmosphere and very clean!!!!!!! Multiple shops, clean environment, everything about it is great, would recommend. Many great shops in one area. Great for dress shopping. A nice safe outdoor place for family and friends to hang out at. One of the best outdoor malls in so cal! Clean, modern, "high class", lots of places to eat, great environment to bring the family and safe.

Ive lived in mobile all my life (29 years) Bell Air mall is so much fun, a great place to go with friends or family or both. Awesome security, never had a bad experience with rude employees. Wouldnt recommend going on Black Friday, or anytime during the holidays because its just so cramped in there though. Do your Christmas shopping early.
