This was such a great mall when it opened nearly 20 years ago. However, it has entered the life cycle of malls. It is now heavily into the decline stage. The crowd is seedier, stores are closing right and left, and you can see that the mall will not survive in its present state for that much longer. While you definitely have to stay aware when you are there, it has not reached the unsafe point yet. It is a shame because there are no decent malls nearby. Regency used to be nice, but it has decayed even further than this one. You could go to Short Pump if you want to pay higher prices and those are your type of people. If there is a store there that carries what you need and you are near VCC, then a quick trip in and out is OK.

The food court is horrible. I went in there to eat and the service was horrible. I went to the Chick & Burger and it took the man 20 minutes to make my food and then messed up my order. There were also hairs in my friends food. In all of our food there were bugs. On top of all that, there were birds flying around and walking around where we were eating! The lady working at one of the stands was yelling at my friends for asking for some NAPKINS. And eventually she got the police involved so we couldnt go back and ask her. Also, at the ice cream place in there they messed up all of our orders. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.

I honestly only go there for the Hot Topic and FYE, but everything is run down, they stopped cutting on the water fountains, they have no are conditioning (in the overly hot summer), the drinking fountains rarely ever work, there are sections in the mall that just seem like you dont want to go there and you shouldnt be there, and little to no one comes to any of the stores in there so people dont even expect people to come in. All though the people who work there are really nice; they have nothing to do. This used to be my favorite mall! (I am not joking) but what happened to it?

This mall is actively dying. Only one half of it even has power anymore. All of the major chains have left, and the stores that are left are all off brand. The food court is basically non existent. I remember this place in its prime and it is sad to see how desolate and creepy it is now. The landscaping is unkempt, the outside is crumbling, and the parking lot is a shambles. The last time I was in will be my last. I hear someone bought this property, and I hope they do something with it to revitalize it. I hate having to drive to Short pump to shop for clothes.

I am in the area for business and went in to the Burlington Coat Factory, this was wonderful as I love finding deals at Burlington and we do not have them at home. I made my way to the food court and had a good meal, as I was finishing what I was eating I noticed a couple with a baby laughing and staring at the floor not far from where I was. Two others walked by a moment later and freaked out, it was a cockroach!!! I quickly got up and left the mall immediately.

Can not believe what is happening to this mall. Since Macys pulled out, it seems that other merchants inside the mall may be making the same decision and it seems as though the facility itself is not being kept up. American Family Fitness is at one end now, and their space in the building seems to be kept up nicely. Thats great, but the rest just looks horrendous. Take a look at the picture we took today. Sad. Wish that the space could be used by others like AFF.

The mall is a great palce 2 shop, and the Clear booth by the food court is beautiful.Very clean mall with a lot of great store. Just stay away from some bootleg store selling item I seen brought out of Dillards Discount store and repriced...it was call Bangles and things, or something like that, item will turn your ears green and were tarnished right on the racks...wow. Besides that food and mall were great

The mall is always very quiet, you wont find all of the newest trendiest shopping here. If you want to go to those stores, might be best to go to short pump. However, if the store you do want to go to is in this mall it will likely be much less crowded than that store at otter locations. Thats why I give this mall four stars. It also is clean enough, has a decent food court, and restrooms.

I remember when this was the go to mall in its prime. Theres lots of empty store spaces here. The food court is lacking. Ive only heard of one of the food shops--The Great Steak. There are some familiar stores here such as JCPenney, Sears, American Eagle, Bath and Body Works, Claires, Finishline and Footlocker. Theres not much of a selection or choice for items here.

I hope the new owner takes this place back to where it was in the past. I stopped in about 8pm on a Friday, they close at 9pm and security is running one way for a bunch of juveniles fighting when I hear another group start. I also cannot believe the landscape looks as bad as it does. A few stores left if you dont want to have to deal with Short Pump but not many.

This mall is a ghost town. I would turn it into a food court. Maybe the powers that be will contact me for turning this place into something lively and promising again. Notable places to visit. Dollar plus. Cinnamon bun Ran by a beautiful woman from Paraguay! Very friendly! Just try to speak her language. And steak fries place ran by some guys from Egypt.

It used to be lit and everyone went there.. But now its dying out. Most stores closed down, and new unknown stores started moving in and now there no one comes here anymore. Fake food places at the food courts, what used to be Chick Fil A is now Chick A Burger. Dairy Queen is Dairy King, etc.. but now that it was sold to a new person, I hope it gets better

Going down hill fast, watch your wallet, and dont mind the smell (its just the locals). Nothing stays in this mall for good reason. Im pretty sure I need four-wheel drive just for the busted up parking lot. Nothing in the small is worth actually going into the mall. Go to Sears buy some tools, then get in the car and drive around to the other side.

The day I visited the store I knew I needed someone to help me. I walked right to the back of the store and told the sales associate of my need. She immediately got a fitter to assist me. The fitter helped me find the right apparel and made the experience very positive. I will continue to shop there. They couldnt have been any nicer!

Each time I visit my mom and we go to Virginia Center Commons Im see more and more stores closing - which disappoints me - as this mall is close for my mom to visit and shop at - instead of having to drive all the way over to Short Pump. - Wish there was some way to upgrade or bring the mall back into focus for this area.
