This is just my personal experience with Finest Lines, and I'm sure it doesn't apply to everyone, but I would like to share it. I got my tattoo at FLs by Tony in 2003, who supposedly was one of the more experienced artists in the shoppe. It was my first (and only to this day) tattoo. Tony was not very friendly to say the least. I felt like I couldn't ask a single question; he was rude and didn't even really explain anything that he was doing. I don't think he took me serious enough (I was only 17 at the time) and I was definitely intimated by him. It took him 40 minutes to complete my tattoo, which based on the drawing I brought in seemed too short even to me. To make a long story short, I have a tattoo on my upper arm that I hate and never got a single compliment on. I've actually been to other tattoo shoppes and have been told by other artists that it looks rushed through and very amateur. There is absolutely no detail, the lines are crooked and some are not connected where they're supposed to be... All in one, it looks awful and I would never let Tony near me with a tattoo gun again in my life. Im not here to slam the entire shoppe, I dont know about the other artists, but I know Tony made me hate the tattoo I could still appreciate on my arm.

I got my first tattoo at Finest Lines when I was 19. Id brought in a drawing of a decently detailed design, and was told it would take at least two sittings and basically felt pressured into instead selecting a piece of flash from the walls. As it was my first tattoo and I was nervous, I brought a friend with me; she wasnt allowed to come back to hold my hand or watch, and instead listened to the fellow in the lobby argue in Spanish on the phone with a friend. My tattoo experience was uncomfortable, and I didnt feel welcomed or put at ease even enough to ask questions or maybe chit chat a bit. Still, I wanted the tattoo, and the design meant a lot to me, so I got it and almost 8 years later am still very fond of it. Not because of the design or experience, though. Ive recommended against the shop to friends going for tattoos, and have never been back. Ive had five tattoos since, and about to go for another; definitely never at Finest Lines again. All subsequent tattoos have been much, much better experiences.

My family loved this place, my mom growing up recommended Finest Lines for my first tattoo. Although there were some complications, my tattoo came out half finished when fully healed. When I went back I simply explained how it was taking forever to finish when i paid decent money. Everything was very disorganized and god forbide you need a touch up it will take a month to finish an easy tattoo. Finally when I got to finish this easy tattoo I apologized to the artist for maybe being difficult (when in reality the tattoo should have been finished day of) and his co-worker says how me apologizing saved me "a lot of pain and suffering" for a tattoo that wasnt finished. Very unprofessional to purpously Inflect pain and suffering on a customer because you messed up. If two employees treat customers like this, what are the other artists and staff doing?

This was the first tattoo shop I ever went to. I was told the owner was the person who tattooed me. He did nothing to calm my nerves, even telling him I was super nervous. Then, he spent the majority of the time on the phone with someone doing repairs to his house. Every time I hear someone wants to go to this shop, I show them how bad my tattoo has faded in not much time and tell them about the experience I had and how several other people left upset that night.

I went to finest lines to get belly button pierced by nick and he was really nice about everything. He let me bring my friend in the back with me for support cause It was my 16th birthday and Ive never dont anything like that before. Nick was awesome and super nice about the whole thing. I am hopefully going back to finest lines for nick to do my second tattoo. I would definitely recommend finest lines to someone who was looking to get a tattoo or a piercing.
