I live about 5 miles from this store, but I will drive 15 minutes to the store in Mentor. The employees, for the most part, are very nice, but they are wildly uneducated on their products. On more than one occasion, an employee has handed me the product I needed -- citing their knowledge of what I was looking for -- only for me to get home and have it be completely wrong... More than once, theyve talked me out of the proper product for a different product. The latest example? I was in store buying a replacement FitBit Charge HR charger for my Mom. The girl who was helping me handed me a charger for the FitBit Charge, although I told her that the Charge and Charge HR used different chargers, she swore that I was incorrect and even pulled rank telling me that she knew all of FitBits products and accessories. Her famous last words? "Worst case, if it doesnt work, you can always return it..." Wrong again! When I returned to the store, with the charger and receipt in hand, I was unable to return the $20 charger because it was open. This all seems to be a reoccurring theme at this store. The sales associates are so eager to tell you what you need and get you to the point-of-sale in their department in order to earn their commission, anything you ask will be in one ear and out the other. Ive corrected them on an iPad case, Samsung S2 Classic charging dock, Apple Pencil, and MacBook Pro charger during my last handful of trips. Im obviously not the only one as is evident by their mile long customer service line for returns. Not to mention my biggest problem, getting scammed on a $50 gift card... The cashier mistakenly dropped my gift card after swiping to activate it, only to bend down, pick up and hand me an identical looking non-activated card, keeping the $50 card for himself. Smooth. But hey, I guess cashiers need to make up some of the money their sales associate counterparts are getting by tricking you into a sale to get their commission, and letting you, the customer, deal with the repercussions of returning the item. It really is a charming store. Ultimately its my fault for going back, time and time again. From now on, Im exclusively driving the extra 15 minutes to Mentor (as opposed to about 5 minutes to the Mayfield store) so that I at least have a chance of getting what Im looking for. Ill spend triple that amount of that extra travel time standing in the customer service line at Mayfield anyways. Its not worth your trouble -- At the Mayfield store, the best thing that can happen to you is wandering into one of the many department where employees just stand around talking and glancing at you out of the corner of their eyes, hoping they dont need to end their conversation to assist you. At least that way, you stand a chance. In short... Save yourself the trouble. Just order the wrong thing from Amazon, spend 45 minutes prepping it for return (to mimic the line youll wait in), then just punch yourself in the face a few times. Its the Mayfield Best Buy experience, in the privacy of your own home.

Terrible experiment in this Best Buy store ! The manager in this Store (1417 Golden Gate Blvd Mayfield Heights).was terrible ! In this Black Friday, I wanted to buy a sliver Ipad air 2 and then went to the Best buy store in Mayfield. However, they made the mistakes and gave a black one. Actually, In this Black Friday, all the Ipad air 2 with 16G are the exactly same price either in store or online. When I found they gave me the wrong one, I went to the store on Dec 6th 2014 and wanted to exchange it to the right sliver one but was asked to pay 100 more dollars. Because the price returned to previous level. The fact is that Ipad of this style are exactly the same price between different colors, however, they said the price are different from that of Black Friday and let me pay so much money for other peoples mistakes. I asked three people and said I wanted to talk with the manager in the store. However, the manager refused to meet and talk with me. I still be asked to pay 100 dollors to get exchange to the sliver one. At last, I got refund. I am extremely angry and disappointed with this Best Buy store, which completely wasted my Black Friday. If I did not buy the Ipad in this store, I should get an ideal one in other store, such as Target. I really regretted to buy this Ipad in this store ! What a terrible store !

I used to come here all the time to check out new stuff I wanted to buy and the employees used to try to push me into a sale, which was not pleasant but in the last couple of years it seems like this store is staffed by the laziest and most unmotivated employees ever. No one ever comes up to you and when they do I know quite a bit more than the reps here... There have been multiple occasions that I have heard someone lie to a customer here and I have had to correct them by telling their potential customer that they were getting upsold to a product that they had no use for. One incident I can remember is one of the employees was selling an elderly lady a laptop that had one of the latest gaming processors and dual video cards when all she wanted to do was surf the internet. When I came up to her and told her not to waste her money unless she played video games she thanked me and the employee said something under his breath that sounded like an obscenity... I now only go to this store to browse the electronics I am going to buy on Amazon or other online outlets.

Outside of the bathrooms they post the signs for facial recognition cameras they use throughout the store. Kind of like the fine print in a lease but thats not the big issue I have. The cashiers are so slow at this branch its torturous to the point of why the hell do they stay open. Its evident no one wants to work as they clump and see you wandering aimlessly but yet stay chatting among themselves. The prices you pay when the service is so lacking is beyond idiocy of the company and store. Walmart workers are more helpful then this stores staff including with the computer services. Then when you have a question they act dumb founded when you prove them wrong. I went in looking for a USB C 3ft cable the guy said no we dont then recanted and said maybe by the Samsung wall. Ok wheres the Samsung wall? He says oh the other side of the mirrored obelisk thing in the middle of the floor. I swear if they could be any more cryptic on advice and their products it would require a masters degree to shop here.

DO NOT GET APPLIANCE INSTALL. Dear Bestbuy: the new dishwasher we bought isnt installed correctly because your installer did not show up at all. Your installer called at 330pm to say they would be 30-minutes late and planned to arrive at 430pm. This is after already accommodating a 4-hour window of 12-4pm. At 5pm we called and you were unable to give us any expected time (not even able to reschedule a new 4-hour window). At 530pm we called back and your system was down. At 6pm we called back and you said you would dispatch a truck and they would call when they got close and would likely be at our house in 30-45 minutes. At 645pm we went to dinner. At 650pm you truck arrived without a phone call. You will not get another 4-hour window. They way I see it I paid you for a dishwaher and you didnt fulfill the contract due to negligence. Even after a few attempts on my part to follow up. You have my $700. Forget the better business bureau. I think I will file a police report in the morning... THIEF
