Being a manager at a high end retail shop I have to say my experience here at the Mac counter in Independence mall was so poor that it left me sightly angered and highly disappointed. I realize I was not wearing any makeup when I came into the mall, I was in some very casual attire that probably didnt scream "I have money to spend" however the reality of the situation was not the case. Little did this employee know, I had quite a bit of money I had brought with me because I will always spend lots on good quality makeup. Once I arrived the one and only employee at the counter was busy helping two other woman who had been together. After five minutes of me idly standing, she finally asked me if I needed help. I had put something on hold and she remembered my name, she then said she was ready to check me out. I had to tell her that I actually was also interested in some other products in which she gave me little to no time trying to show me or help me with what I was looking for since she already had a customer. I was then left there standing for another ten minutes and realize that I had talked myself out of any other products (that she could have talked me into buying) and decided to leave. I had no idea what the product that I asked for her to hold looked like in person considering I only saw this online and she did not show me what it looked like she just put it inside the bag and started to ring me up. Feeling very rushed at this point I left. I then went into my car and decided to take a look at my shadows. The pallet was extremely small and with the horrible experience I had I felt even more ripped off. I decided to go back and return it, in hopes that they may have something else for me to purchase. This second time around was even more awful. One of her friends had been there and was waiting for all of her customers to leave so as soon as I come back I feel rushed even more. Not only by her, but by her friend as well. I tell her how small I thought the pallet was and how I guess it was my fault for not checking it before I bought it. She then says "I got you what you asked for".... Yes you did, however that is the exact reason why you are more than likely not making your goals and/or excelling in the UPTs for the day. I then asked her if she had a bigger one I had seen online. She replies with a short "no". I then dig deeper and ask if she has any other pallets that are bigger in size in nude, she then tells me "yes but they are more expensive"... Obviously I would know this, and that price at this point is not a worry of mine. Well "can I see them?" - finally she shows me two options of large pallets. Now with her friend looking even more disgruntled with having to wait longer, I quickly pick my decision and leave. On my receipt the store manager is Tre Stallings and apparently the associate is Niki. I hope that by this review some positive constructive selling criticism can come out of this and hopefully make all of the other customers feel like their time is valued properly. It is safe to say that I will now think twice about coming in and consider having to pay shipping and handling in the comfort of my own home to avoid putting up with very poor customer service.

Made a stop in the Mac counter last night for facial cleanser and moisturizing lotion. However I was highly disappointed that the listed price for the moisturizer was different and much more than the price ringing in. I felt I should have been able to purchase at the listed price. The cashier made attempt with this even when my salesperson told her the price it was listed as! I did purchase the cleanser because Josie had outstanding customer service. However, that will be my last time at this particular store. Please correct this!! Shirley Cummings

This was my first time at a MAC counter and I honestly had low expectations. I am a makeup artist and have always heard jokes/comments about how mac employees are not usually the best. The man that helped me today (I didnt catch his name) was SO helpful and patient with me. I knew exactly what I wanted and he helped me find my perfect shade and didnt push anything else on me. He was so sweet and I would definitely return solely because of his help! Side note: I looked like trash. No makeup, and wearing a full gray outfit. Still treated me great!
