It is unfortunate that in order to put up this review i actually have to give them a rating, if it were up to me i would not even give them 1 star!! So my Shih-tzu / Poodle needed to be groomed BADLY and her groomer is unavailble for the next few weeks. so a friend of mine had bought her Jack Russle to be groomed here in the summer and she told me how happy she was with the service they provided, she said the groomer did a great job and he was very kind and loving to the dog AND BEST OF ALL NO APT NEEDED!! So i decided to give them a try and take my dog there although i shouldve known that a jack russle and a Shipoo are very different dogs and that taking her there was taking a BIG RISK... and boyyyy was i dissapointed! First of all the staff there are so inexperienced and unprofessional, everyone from the sales staff to the groomer, i really felt like they pulled a bunch of kids out of high school and threw them in there to do the job. The groomer was very unprofessional, he did not know where to start, what to do NOTHING!! I mean i knew my girl had a few matts and that she was going to have to get a low cut but at least do it right!! I almost wanted to jump in there and help the kid out. I asked him how long he had been grooming for and he said 1 year, i literally wanted to cry at that moment!! It was to late to leave now she was half way shaved, i really shouldve asked this before he started. So there i am hoping that he does a good job and then i noticed he kept asking for my opinion, im really not use to that i normally take her to her groomer and tell him what i want and he does what he has to do to make her FABULOUS, but right then and there i noticed that this kids "1 year" experience was more like 1 MONTH!!! He left her hair uneven and with knots by her ears, her head looks huge because he didnt know how to even out the face with the rest of the body, and whats worse is that he didnt know how to handle her and make her comfortable, she was nervous and scared and he did nothing to make her feel good. Overall if i were asked to go back, even for a FREE grooming service I WOULD NOT GO!!!

Do NOT use Pet Fashion on 181st St. THIEVES AND LIARS. I dropped off my dog for a grooming and was very specific about NOT cutting her too short. THEY SHAVED HER FROM HEAD TO TOE. She looks like she’s ready for surgery - two days before it’s going to be 30 degrees. She’s a six-month old puppy so it’s going to take months and months for her coat to grow back, right in the middle of winter. They refused to refund my money or even apologize. STAY AWAY. No vayan a Pet Fashion en 181St. LADRONES Y MENTIROSOS.

Got my dog groomed here twice and it was a total mistake. The first time my goldendoodle (fluffy curls) had a ton of knots after the winter and needed a shave, but I was shocked to see her after grooming COMPLETELY devoid of all hair. They shaved her ALL OVER! Nothing left on her face or the top of her head, and her tale was completely bare. She looked like a different animal. We accepted that maybe the groomer thought she needed the complete shave, and though we were really upset, we brought her back for a followup haircut after a few months. Thats when I realized the groomer doesnt know how to do anything except shave down to the skin. We brought her in and explicitly said to cut short, but leave hair. We stressed to leave hair on her face/head and tale. They brought her in, put her on the table, and immediately started to shave her. I was furious that they disregarded what I had said (I was standing right there on the other side of the glass!) and I sent an employee back to tell the "groomer" to leave hair on her head. I watched her go back to tell him. We left the store and came back an hour later to find our dog completely shaved ALL OVER! AGAIN. My mistake for trying this place a second time. Never again.

We used to take our dog here and the groomer before was great. Never any cuts and always did a good job. However, a few months back we took him here and he came out all cut up. While calling the store, the lady in the front had the audacity to ask to speak to her in Spanish not in English. When we arrived at the store we were told that the groomer was new and didnt know what he was doing yet. Unprofessional. The vet was very disrespectful and the owner defended it by saying that he was going through a lot of personal problems. Not a good excuse. At the end of the day the owner gave us a free cut for the next time, some medicine for his cuts, and a big sorry. So today we went back to get the free cut because our dog desperately needed a haircut. There were new people there so we took the chance of trusting them and leaving them to do their job. We got back and he was good except for some cuts on the bottom of him (again). Although it wasnt that bad this time it shouldnt be happening at all. And the person in the front had the audacity to ask for tip. Never coming back here again. If you love your pet DO NOT BRING THEM HERE. Were going to take him to Harlem Doggie Day Spa from now on.

I usually take my pet to Biscuits & Baths. But on this particular day I decided to try this location I had seen that looked pretty descent. I took my dog in for a trim after this long winter, he needed one. He went a little furry, floppy ears and a cute button face. With enough hair on him to get a nice even trim all over. When I picked up my pet, he looked like if had gotten a at-home cut. He was trimmed unevenly around the sides & under the belly, His ears were also trimmed unevenly and poorly given any shape.. I myself could have done a better job at home. Which by the way I have, but is too much work afterwards to pick up the mess. I took him in to this place thinking they had a professional not a amateur..So if you are reading this and if you want to spend your cash well, I suggest to take your pet to a recognized grooming business such as Biscuits & Baths or PETCO. These recognized business places charge the same. They are just a little further downtown but well worth the trip, after this mishap my pet went thru me & Toni will be taken the train. They also had the nerve to tell me that was a puppy cut ..Ill say this "that is the worst puppy cut I have ever seen" ...
