I really dont write these things like some of the other individuals but this place has made my wife pretty unhappy at times. Overall I agree the service there is pretty poor. I try to go to a different location cause I have so many gift cards. My major problem is they are overpriced and to price match is a hassle when I can just go to the other store and buy without the wait. There are a few employees that are generous and caring such as an employee Vanassa. Also the funniest thing about the corporation is my wife was so dissatisfied with some things about being on hold excessively only to find that things are in stock and not there when arrived. Like the employee didnt even look for it and also other minor things. Corporate said they would contact her back and never received another email or call of any sorts... If it wasnt for the few sweet people that work there I wouldve given the store 1 star. If there were a buy buy baby built around this store it would be bye bye babies r us.

I usually never write reviews, but I thought it would be nice to warn people stay away from the Madison Heights Toys R Us at all costs! I would rather drive an extra 40 miles to go to any other Toys R Us location. The location by Lakeside Mall is always busy, but clean, organized and helpful employees. Madison Heights location I tried calling them about 15 times in a 3 hour period, but they disconnected their phone line. When I went in, I asked 3 emplyees where a particular item was and they did not know or cared enough to try and find an item for me. They just pointed and said somewhere over in that section. Then the lady at customer service was looking it up for me, then got distracted left me at the counter for 15 minutes walking past me without acknowledgement to go chat with other employees.

The aisles are mislabeled when you print a registry, its disorganized, has poor selection for baby items, and staff is rude and incompetent. I had to return a crib to the store and had to argue with the lady that the side sticker on the box WAS the packing slip and to just try to scan it to see if it worked. She argued back with me multiple times that I was wrong, and then finally tried and it worked. When going for friends registries, I cant find anything in the correct aisle. And anytime Ive had to check out, it takes forever even if there is only one person ahead of me. I wish there was another babies r us closer just because of gift cards I have. This place needs an overhaul.

The electronics section was kept in good order. Just off to the side of it, where collectibles are, was not so fortunate. I was taking some pictures of things to show to my friends, so they could purchase them, when what I assume was loss prevention walking up pretty fast to me. My phone was in my large purse, so I suppose I dont fault them, but it was kinda intimidating. I wasnt stealing anything, but they sure made me feel like I was guilty. They young man in electronics was helpful when he noticed me and we had a short conversation at the register while he was ringing me up. I would go here for amiibos or World of Nintendo figures again.

This is another place i am glad i do not work for. all they did was use me and Pressing me to get people to sign up for stupid Credit Cards. i was lied to in a interview that i would get a raise if i got alot of people to sign up. which is why i Quit. they dont let you go to the bathroom when you have to go. then people want to use you to cover for them while they are on Lunch but when i needed to go to the bathroom they did not want to do the same for me. plus the people who came in there were rude as hell and i am one person who do not LET ANYBODY talk to me ANY KIND OF WAY. i am glad i quit

This location is horrible. If I could give zero stars I would. Rude staff, sadistic store Manger, and disorganized. I filed a complaint to corporate after a few incidents thst were toys r us/ baby r us fault 100% so hopefully things will change... But I wont hold my breath. They most likely have lost a customer who would have spent a ton seeing as I just had a baby. Its their loss not mine. Ill be spreading the word though to all of my friends who are mothers too. Retailers shouldnt be rude when other places like target sell all the same things.

Hardly any staff in the store to help.me find what I need. Also had to stand at checkout for over 20 minutes because they had only one cashier who was going very very slow I only had 3 people in front of me and they didnt have that many products. The wait time to check out was absolutely ridiculous. One cashier was actually taking people but decided she shouldnt turn her light on to.let customers know her lane was open, sadly I realized this after having waited forever in the one lane that was actually lit up to indicate it was open.

I dont usually rate stores on this, but for this store I had to make an exception. The customer service here is awful. Management is rude, I only asked one question about a product, and I felt like I was being attacked with the answer because of the tone in their voice. Not organized at all. It took me 10 minutes to be checked out when there were many employees sitting around, and nobody at the check out lanes. Would not suggest this store to my worst enemy. Constantly putting toys out before licensing release date. The woman manger is the rudest person I have ever met who lets her cashiers with a ton of people and doesnt offer to help or try to help. I have had an issue the last two times there and both time unimpressed with her and even called corporate. We shop at Toy "R" Us regularly and this one is hands down the WORST one in and around Metro Detroit. Get a new staff, it is much needed.

Decent selection, extremely poor check-out movement. 2 people in line going on 25m wait. To make matters worse they bait people into signing up for their rewards cards in series with the line of people. This process takes a ridiculous amount of time and for some reason requires information such as household income even though the rewards card is not a credit card.

Went there at a popular time (according to google maps). The store had decent crowd inside. Waited there for 30 minutes before getting any service in the bikes section. Requested service three times. Even though I had to go and get help myself at the end. The guy helping me earned the two extra stars for the store.

The managers were incredibly rude and unhelpful especially the Indian woman and the brunette. I was waiting 15 minutes for someone to tell me if the item I was looking for was available or not. The managers I encountered seemed very arrogant, rude, and obnoxious and they were not helpful at all.
