I stopped into Lincoln-Pico for my first time today. It was such a positive experience that I felt compelled to review it right away. Ive driven by a million times, but I generally buy my gear at the bulk discount sporting goods stores, so Id never been in, even though its only a few blocks away from my home. The ambiance is very much the same as my great uncles garage--thats a good thing, he was an engineer who loved to fish. The proprietor promptly fixed the broken rod I came in with, talked me out of buying a rod I didnt need, restrung my reel with some heavier line and strung up a new reel he sold me with some lighter line. All this, while I picked up some tips from a guy from one of the local boats for an upcoming tuna trip.

Good Tackle Store. Has a very wide selection of Reels and Rods. Very good selection of fresh and saltwater fishing lures to pick from. Weights and Hooks of all kinds. Tackle boxes and the like are all over this good ol fishermans supply shack. Note that there are a few parking places in the back if you do not want to put coin in the meter out front. This is an old fashioned Fishing Tackle Store. The owner will wait on you and take care of one person at a time to the best of his ability. Just be patient. He is generous to the local fishing community and supports youth fishing programs etc. with donations to the MDR Halibut Derby etc. Many of the local fishermen show off their big catch on his tack board.

Horrible service. This guy had us waiting because he was talking to some woman. A few other people came into the shop and he didnt even bother asking what we needed. Once the woman left(20 mins later) he poorly attended me. Perhaps it was a race issue with this guy. If your not white, dont go into his shop.

Good selection but there a old mean guy who sits there and [HELPS] u but he kept saying I dont need that fishing rod and kept talking me out of it. The guy also is an inexpirenced fisherman who just has pictures of his 9lbs fish and doest care about helping you pick out a rod

The guy in there was as helpful as helpful can possibly be. He asked what kind of fishing we would be doing, gave helpful advice, pointed me in the right direction. I am going to be doing my shopping for all my tackle needs here from now....

Best tackle shop on the westside. The owner is very knowledgable and helpful, and the selection is excellent. The prices are very reasonable too, as good or better than the Wal-mart type places.

Great items, great prices. Big place, has basically everything you could ever need on the water. Good location too, very easy to notice, and has parking!!!

Cool throwback store, like an old hardware store - stuff everywhere. Friendly, knowledgeable staff helped get us set up for Marine del Rey party fishing.

The hours are unreliable, so call before going! Everything else is wonderful! Highly recommend.
