Applied for a job in the deli department there, which I am qualified for. I had a phone interview & then an in-person interview with Andrea back in October. She told me that she would be off the following two days, but that would have someone named David call me for my final interview. He didnt call me on that Thursday, so that Friday I called to speak to him. He had no knowledge of it; she never told him. He told me to call her the following day, which I did, & she was sorry she had forgotten, "that it was a hectic day". She assured me that she would speak to store manager John & call me the following day. I didnt hear from her, so I called & was told she wasnt even there, had left the store early that day. The following day I had spoken to Lacey, the other lady who normally handles the phone interview portion. I explained to her everything that had happened. She was shocked & told me that it was unacceptable behavior. She told me that she would have her call me, but that if I didnt hear anything by the middle of the week, to call & speak directly to the store manager. I did, & although he told me that he didnt handle the interview portions, he would follow up with her & have her call me by the end of the day. By 8 pm that night she STILL had not called. I had to call her & she claimed that she was still reviewing my application with John. I wanted another week or so, & called again. She STILL gave me the same line about talking to John, but if they decided to bring me in, they would call me. I asked that they would let me know either way, & STILL have not heard anything. I am very upset. I wanted this job. I currently work at another deli, but would prefer to go to another company. I dont understand how someone can go from saying they will set up your third & final interview, to giving you the run around every single time you call. If you change your mind about the person, let them know that youre going in another direction or whatever the case may be. Im waiting to speak to Lacey again tomorrow (November 15th), but I dont know how much she can do because shes only in charge of phone interviews. But Im hopeful she can shed some light on at Im being ignored/blown off. Its not good service to treat a potential employee this way.

I had the friendliest service there. One of the workers helped me find some difficult ingredients that I have never used before and had no idea where to even begin looking.So once again thank you Sue for going out of your way to help me.I will definitely be back.

Would be much better if able to compete with Wal Mart. I would love to spend my money here instead of Wal Mart, but its hard when you can get the same stuff for cheaper. Service is usually much better here, staff is attentive and helpful.

By far the worst grocery store in the area. Easily the worst produce dept in the whole state. On sale items rarely stocked. Deli chicken is never ready & available. Would never recommend this store in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Good prices when they have sales otherwise very expensive. The produce in the rapids store is not as good as the Stevens point store. Very nice and helpful staff. Like that is not as busy as Walmart most of the time.

It was a good store before, but since Kroger has taken over, the personnel has improved. Also, Kroger generics are excellent, so thats good news. I hope Kroger keeps the store open, or better yet, builds a new one.

Best grocery store in Wisconsin Rapids! They have the freshest produce, a large selection of fish and meat, and just about everything else the other local groceries stores lack.

You can save quite a bit here if you coupon. Coupons double on Saturdays, and Copps card holders get free product samples every Friday.
