I cant say enough thats good about the Square Wine Company. The owner is passionate about wine, and it shows. She brings in not only the high-end stock that the well-heeled who normally shop the Capitol Square can afford, but also delicious entry point bottles. She can talk for hours about her product, and is always helpful and encouraging. She does ticket and walk in tastings, and stocks unusual offerings from both the Old World and the New.

Square Wine Co quickly became a place defining downtown Madison. It is part of the neighborhood, a place where one needs to stop on the way back from the Farmers Market. The personal advice and careful selection of wines on the shelves makes it a unique place. You could pick a bottle randomly and almost never be disappointed.
