We stopped into this store because of its cute name, and because I love semi-sweet white wines like Riesling and am always looking for a new variety to try. The owner of this shop encouraged us to ask questions, so I asked one question about whether a wine was similar to one with a very similar name that I am familiar with. He proceeded to berate me in front of a group of people who were participating in the wine tasting, telling me I was surely mistaken, didnt know what I was talking about (because I dared ask about an AMERICAN wine he hadnt heard of - gasp!) I was so uncomfortable and embarrassed by this horrible person, it was all I could do to get out of there. When I tried to escape with my dignity hanging on by a small thread, the man actually dared to throw a few final jabs at me, including "Well, youre really committed, arent you?!" By the time I got to the car, I felt deflated. If you like horrible pretentious people who think that because they know something about European grapes and carry wine that they think you would have never heard of otherwise (we have several of his varieties in our local grocery store, so that pompous statement was also false), then by all means visit this store. If you want to be treated with respect and not be verbally abused when you are in a place of business wanting to spend actual money, skip right by this store and spend your money in one of the several great gift shops Lake Geneva has to offer instead. If I could have given this awful store zero stars, I would have done so.

I love Pop More Corks and David! Every Thursday I look forward to good wine with good friends next to a nice fire place and cozy couches. David really does a nice job getting to know his customers and what tastes they have. He can tell me what Id like and probably wont, and hes right. I can also count on his opinion for friends I shop for. And contrary to some other reviews, David is delightful and cheerful, hes an absolute roit and has quite the sense of humor. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice quiet get away with a lovely view and good wine. (Also has wifi so you can bring your laptop and "work" or just mess around.)

Horrible experience completely in line with the other negative review. Actually was dumbfounded by the similarity of the horrible treatment I received from the owner after stopping in one night during a wine tasting . This must be this individuals personality disorder. At all costs AVOID!!!!! By the way, Having extensive knowledge, the wine he was pouring to his poor tasters was swill . His choices and selection were truly pathetic.

This store changed hands about 2 years ago and is now called the Bottle Stop. Beth has an excellent selection of wines in various price ranges. We usually buy a bottle off the shelf and then have it corked and served, outside when we can. They offer some food too. She has tastings and other events frequently. Check out their Facebook page. If you like wine you really need to stop here and pick up a bottle or two.

This store has a great selection of wines at all price points. I love the daily wine tastings given by the owner. Its a great way to discover new wines. The lounge is a great place to relax over a nice glass of wine with the cheese and baguettes available at the store. The lounge has a cozy atmosphere with fireplaces, a variety of seating arrangements and even games to help while away an evening.
