They had an ad on Craigs List for a piece of furniture that Ive been trying to find locally and no one else has it in stock. I called on Sat. and was told they had 2. When I called the next day to make sure they were still available, the guy acted surprised that Id been told they had any. He came back to the phone a few seconds later and said "We sold it yesterday." He said theyd only had 1. How hard is it to check inventory though? If shed told me yesterday they only had ONE, I would have come yesterday or asked them to hold it or something. I dont believe they ever had any. I think the woman told me they did in some kind of attempt to bait and switch me...get me in there and try to sell me something else they DID have. I had to ask him 3 times when theyd have more, he kept ignoring my question. Finally he said "Two to three months." Weird...thats exactly how long it will be for all the other stores in the area to get more. What a coincidence.

Im never coming back here. The "deals" are not worth your time and money and the customer service is horrible. I recently had an altercation with the head cashier, Laura. My kids, being kids, were playing around as we were waiting for my mom to finish shopping. No one came to me and complained until Laura came by and gave me the stink eye and told me to "control my children." Had she come up to me and politely said it, I wouldve had no issues and would not have argued with her. But the way she handled the situation was rude and unprofessional. Ive never been treated this way at a store because of my kids. Ive had two bad experiences with customer service there so far. You can find better deals at Walmart or the Dollar Tree and better quality too.

one of the pathetic experience i had with discount direct. i ordered dining table with 6 hairs and they tried to deliver me with 4 chairs . when i called the tukwila store on to inquire about it, the sales associate rudely replied that so what if this happened we are 2 million dollar company and this happens often. On top of that the the dinning set delivered was actually flloor model with broken chair , it was the same set that i saw in their Tukwila Store. So watch out guys while buying furniture from them. Thoroughly check your stuff on delivery. .... there was one fine lady who called me and offered a refund otherwise the sales associate in Tukwila story "Mr Randy i think" is a big A**hole ,do not even trust his words

Eh. Not super impressed. There were several items that Ive seen at dollar tree before that were more expensive than if I just went to dollar tree. There is a huge selection of name brand clothes but I would say its pretty close to retail price or if you just hit a sale at the mall youd get a better deal. The food section was large but both my husband and I picked up items and they were expired by a few months. The prices were about the same as the grocery store and Id rather just buy non expired food items for a few cents more. My husband and I agreed that we wouldnt return. You can go to dollar tree or even Fred Meyer and get the same stuff for near the same price on a lot of the items and they arent expired.

I am extremely disappointed in the customer service I received at your Lakewood location. I recently bought from a different furniture store and in comparison will never return or suggest discount direct. We said we wanted to finance, and were not given information such as what the payments would be, when they would start, or how often they would be. We bought a dining set, one piece was broken. We were told to bring it in and they would order a new one with a pick up date to be determined. We asked about swapping with one of the chairs on display and the response was extremely rude.

I highly would not recommend anyone to buy at this store, about a year ago I bought some sofas with warranty, right after two months of use they started to brake up. I called them so many times and they were not taking any action to come and see what is wrong with the sofas since they were under warranty. Finally after 8 month they came and looked at the sofas and told me they they will fix them, but never showed up to fix them. You might think that they have good deals, but I guaranty you that they will cost way more because their quality and costumer service is horrible.

I just bought a sofa from them today and had a great experience so far! The two men I delt with were both very friendly and answered my questions, but still gave me space to make the decision on my own. I went to a couple different stores and the sales people would just stand next to you the entire time, I felt very pressured. Not here though! And the prices were amazing! Lowest I could find. Its defiantly a smaller store, so its probably hit or miss with what youre looking for, but defiantly worth stopping in and checking them out.

Honestly some of the worst service Ive ever encountered, the people that work here are the worst! Good deals but they wouldnt let me return a brand new unused product with a receipt that was within their return policy. Its bad enough that they would go back on their word about their return policy but even worse the way they handled the situation. The store manager was very rude and condescending to me and my mother as well. Needless to say, Ill bring my money elsewhere.

Now this is the place you must visit especially if your looking for some high quality furniture without the sticker shock. Great options to furnish your entire home. Super laid back and ZERO pressure. the main floor is packed with clothing and miscellaneous goods. Great deals on items like canned foods and other cooking essentials. Its worth a visit. This place is tucked away but it isnt very difficult to get too.

This business was unwilling to make a delivery or allow me to pick up a mattress on Sunday, the only day I am available to pick up or receive a mattress delivery. I was then offered a floor model to come get that day which is fine with me but then was told nevermind the manager said no. How are you gonna be unavailable one of the most available days of the week for people? Ridiculous.

I always find great deals here, $5 Halloween costumes in October or discounted gluten free items or even found good deals on toys around Christmas time. Ofcourse you have to go looking for things (similar to ross or goodwill) you never know what youll find... and food items are near best buy dates, but if that doesnt bother you its good!

I know I cant be the only person that has had a bad experience with Discount Direct. I bought a light fixture there that had missing pieces and bought an expensive lock for $140 with again-missing pieces. This place is a joke. They taped those boxes up again to put back on the floor, knowing their products are defective. BEWARE FOLKS!
