My wife inherited a clock that her great grandmother received as a wedding present. It is from the 1890s and has a label "Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co., Conn, USA." It had sat in my wifes parents home unused for decades. When we received it about a year ago, I thought it would be nice to get it working again. I had noticed a watch maker had opened a shop close to my house. I decided to give him a try. My first conversation with Mike gave me the confidence that he was familiar with repairing antique time pieces. He serviced the clock for a reasonable charge and I was very happy. Well, it has been about a year and the clock is working perfectly! We also inherited an Elgin pocket watch that was a graduation gift for my wifes grandfather. We think he got it in 1908. Encouraged by my clock experience, I took the pocket watch to Top Time Watch Repair and Engraving to get it serviced. Mike immediately brought out this huge book where he looked up the serial number of this watch and showed me that they started manufacturing this series of watches in 1895. I was impressed with Mikes knowledge and resources about antique watches. He serviced the watch for a reasonable price. It still runs like a charm, but I have to admit I dont wind it every day. I would enthusiastically recommend Top Time Watch Repair and Engraving for all your watch repair needs.

While I cannot attest to quality of work, he engages in unethical practices with misrepresentation. Upon meeting and noticing my glasses were very loose, INSISTENTLY offered to fix them--no quote, no fee, nothing...just offered, professing his prowess. Knowing that I was in Seattle for a very short duration, a matter of days, he offered to get them back to me...when he couldnt, I requested he mail them back to me. I offered to pay the $5 for the box at the USPS. He then decided to charge me $48+!! because I rejected romantic advances. This is for work that was NOT authorized for a fee! I cant afford that. WHich is why Ive held on to this pair of glasses, loose such that they were, for so long. Again, this is about the quality of person that has abandonned two wives, and I believe engages in these practices to obtain income that can easily not be reported.

My wife has a nice Rolex Ladies datejust . For several years we have had varying repair / service experiences. Finally we found a nice shop that has served us well.Until a hinge on the band cracked. Weeks went by with no luck. "Must be replaced. NOT Repairable." They tried to find a used piece, as a complete band was hundreds of dollars. I had been going to Top Time for some needs for some other watches, battery replacement, watch band for my work watch etc. I decided to show the watch to TopTime. WOW. Is literally better(stronger) than new. It is Beautiful, very reasonable. TopTime also polished out "dings / marks" from previous attempts. I am a retired aerospace machinist. I know quality work. I recognize "skill level" and competence . This is some of the best Ive seen. This is Beautiful! Thank You. Robert

We bought an antique clock at an antique store knowing that it probably would not work as advertised. And it didnt. We looked around for places that would be able to refurbish it and get it running accurately and chose Top Time - not even knowing that it was just around the corner from us. Mike gave us several options as to how he might fix it and we chose the one that kept the dial face intact even though it looked very old and was torn in several places while replacing the internal mechanism substantially. Were very happy with the work that he did and the price that he charged us and plan to use Top Time for many of the services that it provides. We would highly recommend this place to you.

Mike helped me out with a rush order on a Saturday. I couldnt find any other engraving stores open on the weekend and for just a $10 fee he did a rush order job in a very short amount of time that was very high quality professional work and looks great. He even went above and beyond and repaired some of the work that was previously done by other people. It was a plaque with individual plates added to it every year and some of the small screws on the plaques were mismatched or not properly screwed in all the way and he redid those so everything matches. He was also a real pleasure to talk to while he worked. Thank you Mike!

Awesome place, Very much experienced and Great prices. Im from Tacoma, WA. and I went to few watch repair shop in the area between Tacoma and Seattle. I needed Crystal on old pocket watch and this guy said YES and did it in 1 day. He knows how to open watch and operate old watches. I also had small Turtle Pendent to Engrave which most places I check said "too small" because it was only 3/8" diameter with a screw in the middle(for ashes) but this guy said Yes and did Engraving on it in an hour and Great low price.

My watch band had broken at the base of the watch. The rubber hinge had fractured and could only be replaced by sending the watch to the Mfg. The repair shops I had visited before Mikes were unable to help me. Mike took on the challenge and sealed the fracture, then fabricated metal parts to attach the band. The watch is back in action. The cost was very reasonable. I tried to give him extra money for his efforts, He would not take it. Hes a rarity nowadays. Good man. Good service. Thanks, Bob

My old Seiko watch Ive had for more than 37 years finally gave up and stopped ticking. The gentleman at Top Time spent many hours meticulously rebuilding the watch using only authentic Seiko parts. Beautiful work, its like new again. Very reasonable price, considering his attention to detail and hours of labor. I highly recommend Top Time Watch Repair!
