Went in for a contact lens renewal script so I can get my lenses online and cheaper. Everything went smoothly I pulled our my insurance card which I might add had all the info necessary . He then asked me for my social security number? What? why do you need my social? Oh, just to make sure you dont get billed incorrectly? Horse s--____ the guy simply did not want to take the time to look at the 16 numbers on my id card , and type them into his computer. It was easier for him. Seriously, I go to get a renewal for my contacts and he needs my social security number. I dont think so. Im getting my eyes examined not taking out a loan.. Be careful folks dont let lazy workers bamboozle you into handing out private info like its nothing.

Sold me a pair of rimless glasses which went all loose and fell apart after just a few months. Came in and the guy told me Id "put two years of wear on them in 6 months". Mind you Ive had rimless glasses for more than 4 years already and never had this kind of problem. After I pressured them about the warranty (which they didnt offer to do themselves?) they replaced the frames, which went loose after about two weeks. Brought them in again and the sales guy said they didnt have the technician there to fix them and heard him being snarky with a coworker about how "its his second time [bringing them in]". Now I have a pair of unwearable glasses. Two stars instead of one because the optometrist I worked with was a delight.

I left a current eye exam and frames with the SFSE office in West Portal and the staff member I spoke with understood I would contact them by email when I had my insurance information to get the lenses built, and they would ship me the lenses and discard the worn frames. Weeks later I contacted them by email with the valid insurance number and told them to build the lenses. The response was we cant use these frames. I was wearing identical new frames with the expired lenses. They kept telling me I cant wear the frames they have and I have to buy new ones. I demanded they ship the frames they have to another optometrist and they refused. These people are idiots. Complete jackasses.

I dropped my pair of sunglasses by my car door, and when I closed the car door the frame of one sunglass was twisted. I took it to Site for Sore Eyes on West Portal to have it fixed. Tony Rivas was very professional and helpful. He took a lot of care to bend the glass frame back into its original shape without breaking it. He also made sure it fit me well. He didnt charge me anything for his effort! I am very impressed! The store looks very nice and has great selections of sunglasses and frames. I will definitely refer my friends to this store and come back when I need to buy new eyeglasses. Excellent customer service and great selections!

Great visit! I havent been in to have my eyes checked in eyes and had to go in to figure out why I was having headaches and double vision. The ladies on the sales floor were attentive and helpful and the Doctor was genuine and kind. He had loads of information for me and explained it so it was easy to understand. He even took time to double check my eyes and verify I was getting the correct glasses. All in all i had a great visit and TWO pairs of awesome glasses for the price of one! I will make this my main choice in eye care .
