This Bartell pharmacy (not the retail section) is the worst Ive used, primarily due to their management. The management is dictatorial, talking down to customers, refusing to provide information about drug costs (e.g. generic vs brand pricing), and taking excessive amounts of time to complete orders. The manager (Pui To or some such name) there threateningly told me shed remember me the next time I came by after I told her they should change their policies towards customers. Obviously, a super-scary thing for a pharmacy that controls my health to say. Complaining to their head office and district management had no effect; they just gave me the runaround transferring me from one to the other.

I enjoy Bartell Drugs as its a small local ma and pa store. Customer service is hit or miss to so-so to could be better. Its rather difficult to get assisted at this store if you have questions. Generally one cashier. If help is needed they call. I usually wont shop here because its out of my way and the parking lot drivers need to relearn how to drive! Youre vehicle is at risk in this parking lot.

We LOVE our Bartells in Newcastle! Our pharmacists have always been very helpful! We even get our shots there because Sharon is so good at giving them (even better than my doctors office). Sharon has also caught possible drug interactions on my husbands prescriptions that have saved us from dealing with allergic reactions. We wont go anywhere else.

My parents live in Newcastle and chose this drugstore. The customer service ladies are terrible, they have no compassion, empathy and conduct themselves in a racist way. We are changing pharmacy but wanted to make sure other people know how awful this place is.
