Atlas Comics is hands down, one of the best comic book stores Ive personally ever been to, and one of the best stores in general for service. Not only do they have a huge selection of anything you could possibly be looking for including board games and action figures (and comics, duh) but the staff is all incredibly friendly, KID FRIENDLY, super knowledgeable, and they have never let me down. Im a long time subscriber and not once have I ever come into the store and been missing something from my pull list. Often times theyll do their best to include any variant covers in my pull, and occasionally Ill find something cool to read slipped into my pull by Jake. Hes 3 for 3 so far on his recommendations. Its a great store, great prices (10% off for subscribers, and its free!) and by far the best customer service you could ask for. I cant give this place enough credit. A real class act and a gem of a find.

Great store. They have a good selection of trades and back issues. They have everything from obscure indie (including some local artists) to all the big names. The owner has always been accommodating. Some friends and I got there shortly after it closed one time and he invited us in and let us browse as long as we wanted to. He is friendly and is honest about his inventory. Not pushy. He knows his stuff. Very well organized. I have never seen a store with the huge inventory that is as well organized. Prices are good, too.

A great comic shop established in Charlottesville quite some time ago! Theyve got thousands of titles from all eras. Besides comics, they also carry collectibles and games. One of the few places you can also get Magic: The Gathering cards in town. The best shop for serious collectors: You can spend hours picking through long boxes.

They have a great selection and its very well organized. Not only that but the people working there are helpful, friendly and know what they are talking about and they can suggest some great books.

Friendly staff with a great subscriptions policy. Like most comic stores they have more inventory than they have room to display so be sure to ask for help when hunting for back issues.

If youre looking for somewhere to pick up comics in Cville, Atlas is by far your best option. The guys who run it are friendly and know their stuff.

Great staff and decent selection. Only downside i have ever had was in reference to my pull list not always being ready with the first shipment.
