Tonight was the worst pharmacy experience I have ever had anywhere. I started at the Walgreens near my house (usually open late), but was told that on weekends the only pharmacy open late in the area was this Walgreens on 4000 W. at 5400 S (open 24 hours). I was fortunate to be only the 3rd in line when I arrived to drop off a prescription. However, it took over 20 minutes to get to the one open window. The pharmacist said he was alone and it would be about an hour wait. After a while my name appeared on a screen with about 6 others "In process" with my expected time showing about 30 minutes. 1/2 hour after the "expected" time, my name disappeared from the list. I assumed it was ready. Meanwhile the line at the window had grown to about 6 customers. There was a line of customers throughout the hour wait, with an average of 10 minutes delay per customer. Several people got fed up and left. I finally made it back to the head of the line more than 1 hour 25 minutes after my drop off (almost 2 hours since I entered the only open pharmacy in the area. After some confusion about the correct name, the prescription was still not quite ready, but I got it after 2 or 3 more minutes.Then I had to not only show photo ID, but let them scan it. By then there were at least 2 people working in the area, but it still appeared to take nearly 10 minutes per customer, whether for drop offs, pick ups or just answering questions. What a horrible way to run a business. the need for the prescription was urgent. Waiting over 2 hours (with drive time) caused unnecessary suffering. This is just not acceptable practice. Walgreens will be a very last resort for me and my family.

RE: kearns, utah store 5400 s. 4000 w. Yet AGAIN, another HORRIBLE experience at this store! I went in at 4:00 am on my way to work to shop for a few items. I hadnt been in the store 5 min when the manager approached me and asked me to leave my purse at the front counter while i shopped. I told her no i woukd not, she then tells me its their store policy to leave large purses or backpacks at the front. I tell her i have never heard of such a policy and i will not leave my purse up there(which by the way is an AVERAGE sized purse), i then told her i guess i wont shop here then and put my stuff down and walked out. This was my VERY last time shopping at ANY walgreens! I will not b treated like this when i havent done ANYTHING but spend my hard earned money there! This is only one time of many times i have been profiled and discriminated against for some reason. I WILL NOT SHOP AT WALGREENS AGAIN! Further, i will not give a good opinion about walgreens either. This is my 4th email and i have not even heard anything in reply to any of my emails.

This pharmacy sucks!!! Ive tried to fill my prescription of Dronabinol (synthetic marijuana) several times. However they make it as difficult as possible!.. my prescription is for 60 pills, which they have to special order. however I have never gotten a full prescription from them. They will give me 10 pills and make me come back for the rest & only give me another five pills, then 10 & another 5 and so on.... if youre a pharmacist that doesnt like to fill certain prescriptions,.... maybe you shouldnt be a pharmacist.... I now fill my prescription at Walmart and have absolutely no troubles :-) Walmart will even send me a text message when my prescription is ready... Thank You Wally World! :-)

Bad experience!! My wife sufers from constant kidney stones. She spent the day in the ER, they gave her a prescription for pain pills. I went to 5400 Walgreens after turning in the script AND waiting for 20 minutes. The clerk tried to politely tell me they will not fill the prescription. Then the pharmacist walks by and says "too many pills, too many doctors." Without know one thing about what was going on he made the assumption of what to do. The pharmacy really treated me like a junkie. Not good!! My wife needs pain pills to have any substinance in life. Too bad this pharmacy decided what was best for her. I will not be back again!

I actually wish I didnt have to give them 1 star. They have, hands down, the WORST customer service in the world. I am talking about the pharmacy. I am a cancer patient and EVERY TIME I go get my pain meds filled they treat me like I am a junkie. Every time. I know that people abuse drugs, but there are also patients like myself that truly need pain meds to keep us going, to have any type of quality of life. This will be the last month I will have meds filled there. They need to take classes on compassion and learn skills on how to treat people.

Discriminated by Manager, submitted complaint via phone customer service explaining what was happening on a simple western union transaction and even though the information was provided the assistant manager Trish. Would not assist me since my 2nd last name showed on transaction was not on my drivers license and just my passport. Western Union said that was accepted, Trish only changed her mind once I got corporate involved. I would not recommend this location at all.

If a company advertises itself to be a 24-hour pharmacy, it should really have the staff in place to cover the needs of the pharmacy all 24 hours. After having spent seven hours in the ER, the last thing you need at midnight is for the pharmacy cashier to tell you that the pharmacist wont be able to fill your prescriptions for three hours because there is only one pharmacist on duty. And hes spending half his time working the register.

Dropped off a prescription at 7:30 AM. Asked pharmacist did they have a ladies room. He told me he would send someone to unlock door. After waiting 5 mins, I go to front of store. Am told by a rude lady that she has to be up front until 8AM. She was up a middle isle in back of store. Am done with this location.

The 3 stars are for your staff. Theyre always super nice and helpful. They deserve 5. Maybe staff them enough people that they can actually keep up. One on the counter, one on the drive thru aint cuttin it. Get it together, management.

Came to get a prescription filled on Christmas morning when employees shouldnt be happy to be working and the lady that answered my call at the drive through was extremely cheerful. Pleasant experience.

Not a good experience. The pharmacist refused to take my Goodrx discount even though every other Walgreens does. I called Goodrx and they said it violates their agreement.

Terrible store! Cathy- one of the cashiers- is not friendly and very rude toward the customers. I wouldnt recommend this Walgreens to my worst enemies.
