A weeks ago I purchased a few items from Barnes and Noble, the saleslady told me about the BN Membership. I didnt shop there often, so she promoted the online benefit of free shipping. I asked her twice about the free shipping and she told me I would get complete free shipping. Turns out she was wrong, its free expedite shipping. And I never received the coupons she told me about through my email. I decided to return the membership along with a felting kit I purchased. Was the wrong type of felt kit I was looking for. Sat, a young man worked behind the counter, Ethan. He never once greeted me, said hi, and I stood there, finally handed him the kit and receipt, told him Id like a refund. He just stared. Again, he never said one word, took the receipt, and just started punching into the register. I then inform him Id like a refund on the membership. He takes the card, again says nothing directly to me, and calls up an MOD (manager on duty). Alison is the manager who came up there. She was equally silent, no greeting, no smile, doesnt even ask whats going on, she just takes the receipt, punching in stuff. All the while, Im standing there nearly 15 minutes before I ask, so.. is there something wrong? She shook her head and began punching back into the computer. I see on the credit card reader the refund number jump around. I ask her what she was doing, then she finally explained to me rather rudely she was recharging me for everything I purchased, removing the discount on the items I received previously on items I purchased the day I bought the membership, and taking the difference out of my refund. I asked her what the difference was and she rolled her eyes, acted like I was putting her out by asking questions. Finally I received my refund and swear Ill never return. Barnes and Noble has the worse customer service and the fact their management team is equally horrible, I cant see how they survive.

Ive always liked book stores, a lot of good memories associated with places like Barnes & Noble, hastings, Books-A-Million, Walden Books etc. But every time I go there I see less books, and more toys and technology. I saw the same trend a few years back with hastings and Books-A-Million, and we all know what happened to them. I know its just the way of the works but it is still sad to see. Hang in there old friend.

I had to run in to get my daughter a English/French dictionary for school. Store is laid out well but couldnt find it on my own. The employee I asked knew exactly were it was and there were multiple options for me to choice from. Checkout was done quickly and friendly. I would have ordered online but didnt want to wait on shipping times and was easier and cheaper to find a store that had it.

Barnes and Noble has always been a great place for me to visit. I moved to waco in april of 2016. When I finally figured out where they were, I went in and everyone seemed to be happy. Greeted by almost everyone working. Went to the service desk and asked about a Nook charger and the lady behind the counter pointed me out to them and welcomed me to the area. I will always keep coming back.

Barnes & Noble is exactly what you expect and a little more. Its a place to be able to select from a wide variety of mediate literature, or best-selling novels. And they also give you the option of drinking great coffee in a quiet environment to enjoy your new book.

Relaxed as you can get, have a day off and not much money? Come grab a coffee and sit down with magazine or book. Its easy to get in and out of, and they have plenty of material to choose from.

Sadly its really the only big bookstore in Waco, Maybe they could cut back on the multiple rows of Christian dogma, and expand the history section to at least a full row. Needs more chairs.

I can never leave the store without a book in my hand. I generally dont need help finding anything, but if I do the people who work there are friendly and helpful.

Book and magazine selection is okay. Waco is a super religious town so the fact that the bookstore reflects that makes sense. Helpful staff, and clean bathrooms.

The book store is great. Super chill, coffee shop on inside and they have tables throughout where you can study on a book without ever actually buying it!

I love Barnes & Noble! The best part is getting a warm cup of coffee in their cafe and reading a good book. Good thing they have thousands to choose from!!!

Nice to be in a real bookstore. Prices reminded me why I prefer electronic books instead. Good kids section.
