River city doughnuts is like most other place with similar morning fair you would expect to find. Pretty much same selection as many other shops as well. This was my first stop for doughnuts in the area so I dont have any comparison points. I got one yeast based (toasted coconut) and one cake based (blueberry). They both seemed as good as any other place Ive been. I did notice some sausage croissants on the counter but they were essentially sausage pattys on a sliced open croissant...would have tried one had the sausage been baked inside. It was fast in and out and the prices seemed good at .65 each and 1/2 dozen for $3.70ish. Inside seemed clean even if the outside was a bit rough. I should certainly return.

First off I have been coming here for a long time cause of the convince of it being near my apt. Lately the older Chinese lady has been rude and when we walk in there we arent greeted with a smile anymore but a uncomfortable stare. The donuts are ok.. could be better and if you get a drink there make sure the rim is clean, I feel that owners should care about how clean everything is that could possibly touch a customers mouth. Get it together and care more about your customers please. The man in the back making the donuts is lovley and if your lucky you will get served by him instead when shes not there.

This place has far better tasting donuts than Shipleys, Dunkin, and Krispy Kream. This is a small Mom and Pop operation that is fighting against the corporate mass-produced donut establishments and they are winning. Theirs are the only donuts I buy. I bring in two dozen assorted donuts to staff meeting every Tuesday morning and my co-workers are always asking me where I get these donuts from. Support the little guys and buy your donuts from this great small business.

TERRIBLE customer service! The employees are not friendly and are extremely impatient. On top of that the donuts were mediocre at best. Youre better off going to HEB or Wal-Mart.
