I have on occasion (rare occasion) found a few things worth buying at this goodwill. For as large as it is you would think it would be easier.....NO they overprice everything at this store! Sign says all shoes 6.99 pick up a pair that might work look on the bottom and there is a tag $15 ....think I can get a better deal on NEW shoes at payless or even the outlets. Found 2 coats, one for my son and one for my daughter, the one for my son was a London Fog priced $8.99 like all on that rack. Found one for my daughter on a different rack priced $5.99 on that rack.....brought it to the front to pay, they ran a price check and they said it cost $25!!!! Which I could not afford, if I was going to and could afford to spend that much I would buy her something not used. People dont shop at goodwill to pay the prices they would at Ross or an outlet store they shop there because they cant afford to go elsewhere. Its supposed to work as a symbiotic relationship all around that benefits everyone. I will no longer donate to goodwill, I will find somewhere that really does help others by pricing things at an affordable rate. Not somewhere that acts as a department store and does not provide there USED clothing at a reasonable cost. I think its really a shame to set up a BOUTIQUE in a store that is for charity and has volunteers working there.

Prices are out of control. Sundries (cups, glasses, miscellaneous kitchen implements and household goods) are more expensive at this store than brand new. I have been a Goodwill shopper for over 30 years but, with pricing as it currently is and less and less "GENTLY" used offerings, I can see my way to giving up on Goodwill industries. In my opinion, the Saturday auctions are out of place, this is not Sothebys or Christies and now, Goodwill wants to charge retail store prices for miscellany and no one seems to be checking the quality of the clothes and shoes: holes, separated soles and numerous other signs that goods have reached end of life. All glasses and coffee cups were $1.99 and up, helloooo, $ General and $ Stores, not to mention Wal-Mart special sales. I would like to continue to support the good that Goodwill does but, there is a limit to how much of it I am willing/able to carry.

Overpriced and understaffed. The Bell on Dressing Room door was, and most likely still is broken, I had to go find an assistant for a key. Checkout was very bad - Good Friday only had one young man doing the checkout - I stood at the Counter waiting for them to get a price on (one of many) unmarked items, while 22 other people stood in line. Yes, I counted them, all the way down the Aisle. No Manager came to help, no other Checker was summoned to assist. While waiting, I started chatting with the Checker..... the subject of "learning how to manage a Store" came up. He told me he was a Student from Mexico and couldnt wait to graduate and get out of America. Hmmmm!

Thank goodness for this store! Every time I come in I find something I need. The staff is friendly and helpful. Even during the busiest times the store is neat and organized. My review today is based on shopping for clothes. There is a wide selection of donations and the sizes are actually where they are labeled and supposed to be! Of course you cant beat the prices. I walked out of their with a new outfit (top, skirt, and shoes) and another skirt all of good quality for less than $25.

I recently visited this store while helping my son move to San Marcos for a job. I loved this Goodwill. Never have I ever walked into a Goodwill store and have it smell pleasant, literally smelt like fresh laundry detergent , not stinky old shoes like most of them. All the racks of clothes were so organized! By Size, then By Color...It was awesome! They had a very nice variety of items and everything was well organized even the knick knack isles and shoes. Loved It!

NO ES NADA ELEGANTE LA TIENDA. VENDEN ALGUNAS COSAS PARA LA CASA, BOLSAS, CALZADO Y ROPA PARA TODA LA FAMILIA. TODO MUY BARATO POR SER MERCANCÍA DE MEDIO USO Y ALGUNAS NUEVAS. SI TIENEN AIRE ACONDICIONADO. GRACIAS

This place is soo dusty and the boss is such a rude girl. Employees are cool though. I did community service here for 3 weeks and seen horrible things. Walking in there at first it was so disorganized broken merchandise laying around dressing rooms are full of clothes and empty hangers and all the clothes are over priced. and the candies are old. Restrooms are filthy. I wouldnt recommend this goodwill to anyone honestly.

I had a quick question on a product and was to Shelly the store manager. She was the rudest woman I have ever encountered in all of my years shopping at goodwill. It is because of her That I will never shop at the store in San Marcos again. I hope the company realizes what a mistake they made by hiring her. She definitely had no people skills whatsoever. What a disappointment.

Very disappointed I shop alot at goodwill. But when Im low on cash I go and only shop for the color tag thats 50% off I did not see one clear or white Tag anywhere in the store yesterday like they were all pulled before we started shopping I asked some ladies that were shopping also and they said no they did not find one either very disappointing

They are way to high on all their prices. 18.99 for used boots and 17.99 for used tennis shoes!? I could buy them cheaper from walmart. "Goodwill" is supposed to be a place for poor people to get stuff they otherwise couldnt get. NOT happy with this at all.

Way too over priced for a goodwill! $8 for a used shirt is a little much. They have several cases with "higher end" items. Used Miss Me jeans priced at $50. Thats too much for goodwill in my opinion.

I come here often and have to convince myself not to buy everything that catches my eye. Lots of nice clothes and cool decor come through this store and its fairly clean and organized for a goodwill.

Called just to ask if they sold hangers and the girl that picked up the phone answered with "goodwill... yeah?" After I asked my question she quickly said no and hung up. Very professional...

Enjoyed shopping at the San Marcos Goodwill--well organized, and helpful staff. Appreciated everything arranged by color! Would ask that you post your business hours on the website.

I understand this company help others with their profit but Things are too expensive for a thrift store. Im thinking somewhere during their process they lost sight of their purpose.

This Goodwill has an awesome selection. No cassettes and records if thats what youre looking for but a lot of DVDs, VHS tapes, and CDs. The wacky shirts are on another level.

High prices and always just one person working the register even though most of their labor is free and they get all their merchandise for free. Can they not afford employees?
