Upon walking in I greeted the employee and asked how he was he responded with "stuck in a donut shop". Thats where my mediocre experience begins, the restrooms have signs that say out of order, but the employee says the female restrooms work fine. No paper towels. No toilet paper. No soap. Great. Wet hands to handle my donuts. Selection was sparse. Not fresh by any means. I wanted to test a few for a possible catering but I will not be spending my money here. Stale flavorless batter. Frosting taste like aspartame or knock off frosting out of a vat. I didnt even attempt to get a coffee. Pricing is on par with other local shops but definitely not worth it. I can get a donut at HEB for less and taste better. This place should close down and be demolished. Donuts tasted: Cinnamon. Stale Boston Kreme. Fake creme flavor. Chocolate frosted. Stale. Vanilla frosted. Stale. Maple frosted. Gross texture and odd maple flavor. Apple crumb. Not a hint of apple or cake. Very bland. And stale. I know why the employee was so morose. The donuts here suck and if you have no pride as a baker or in a bakeries products then you probably hate the job associated with it. I been to donut trucks with better experience, attitude, and cleanliness. Added one star for letting me use the "out of order" restroom. Shape it up, River City. I have faith in you. You can turn it around.

I would have loved to give this place 4 stars except I went in hoping to place a custom doughnut order & was told they dont do custom orders. Nonetheless the dozen doughnuts I did order that were already prepared were amazing. Extremely fresh, great flavors & plenty of options. I have tough time with the short hours & being out of the way for me but its worth the drive. Cannot wait to try all the other flavors they offer!

Shelves were practically empty at 2PM (which would be understandable if they were going to be closing soon but they are open until 10PM). They had nothing I wanted (simple glazed donuts or donut holes) and the old man working told me to come back in about 4 hours and hed have more made. Ill admit that Im no baker but I dont think it takes 4 hours to make a couple dozen donut holes. Avoid this chain.

The doughnuts werent bad, they just tasted like they were made the day before. (I was there at 7:45am) The kolaches were old as well, and were just microwaved hot dogs stuffed in an uncut hot dog bun with a cube of cheese. Everything was very "Bla" and bland. The best part was the Chocolate Milk (Which was just a TruMoo.)

There was a very rude old men working there he heard me speak Spanish and made this angry face he grabbed my donuts hard while putting them on the box. Very sad I felt uncomfortable . He didnt even say thank you he just put the box on the counter and walked to the back and started shaking his head. Horrible .

The man behind the counter didnt say a word to me or my wife when we walked in (even though we were the only ones in the shop). He seemed impatient while me and my wife were choosing our donuts. And to top it all off, the donuts were dry and stale. A pretty unpleasant experience over all.

You have to arrive at a certain time. Either the shelves are full and the donuts are fresh or the shelves are close to empty. When they are full there are a lot of choices.
