My family and I have been going to Albright for years, and, for the most part, each year we spend over $1000 on glasses and appointments. I had an appointment and was taken in to do an eye exam. After that experience (which they couldnt seem to get quite right), I was taken back in to an exam room where I specifically and repeatedly asked and told the girl who did my eye exam that I needed to be out of the office by a certain time and would I be out by that time. She said she wasnt sure. By this time, I was 20 mins into my appt. I waited another 25 minutes (the time I told the girl I had to leave by), and I still had not seen the optometrist (Albright). I left the exam room and went to the front where I made another appointment and left. Received a call later that day from Cindy at Albrights office who said Albright didnt want me to come back. I was totally baffled. There was no anger or anything when I left. I told them that I needed to be out of there by a certain time. I had to leave. So beware (all of the following represents my opinion only): 1. He wont find out the facts before jumping to conclusions and flying off the handle (as Cindy said he was unaware of any of this); 2. He wont call you to handle his own mess...he hides behind his staff who dont deserve that; 3. He is just an optometrist who has an over-inflated ego and is only concerned with $ not "his patients." (In quotes because we are not patients; we are customers). So good luck to you my if you choose his services - be ready with your wallet wide open and to be treated like dirt when you wont wait for him because hes trying to see too many people at one time.

I am very upset and fed up with this place! My soon to be husband went there a month ago to get new glasses. Everything seemed fine however he has NOT received his glasses and we are STILL waiting! He wanted new glasses for our wedding and at this rate hes not going to. He was guaranteed that his glasses would be ready in a week to a week and a half MAX. Its already a month and we call everyday and they just apologize for the inconvenience. We dont want an apology we just want the damn glasses!! Then they said the frames were on a back order and they were waiting on that but they never told him. I wish they would have kept him up to date on his glasses status. Our wedding is already next week and I just want him to get his money back and take his business elsewhere! Funny how they were quick to take his money, but not as quick to get him his glasses!

After moving to New Braunfels I was looking for a new eye doctor. With my insurance all I have to pay is a copay, so I wanted the best for my money. After looking around I decided to try Dr.Albright at Albright Eyecare. When I first visited I was blown away. They have easily the nicest office buidling I have ever seen. It was so clean and professional looking I couldnt believe that just one doctor was at the location. Then when I met Dr.Albright I understood why. The nicest and most attentive doctor I have ever been too. He even prescribed me some eye drops for allergys that I have had since moving to Texas. Needless to say, I will be going to Dr.Albright each year. Its good to know your getting the best eyecare possible.

We are EXTREMELY THANKFUL for DR. DOUG ALBRIGHT and his early detection of a melanoma behind my eye! (He also called to check on me throughout the process of healing.) My husband and I have gone to Dr. Albright for years due to his attention to detail, his knowledge, his chairside manner, his professionalism... He has proved himself quite well to us. His staff is professional, friendly, and always helpful. We could not be more pleased or grateful.

I have been a patient of Dr. Albright many years now. I would not go if I did not believe him to be one of the best. From the doctor and his staff there is nothing but professional caring people. My wife and I went here when we first moved to New Braunfels. We experienced extremely long wait times (+30 minutes) once we were in the exam room waiting for Dr. Albright. My eyes were dilated and I had blurry vision during the prescription evaluation. I walked out of there knowing my prescription was as useless as a visit to this place.

Good, friendly staff, beautiful office. Dr Albright is thorough and explains things clearly. I was recently diagnosed with glaucoma, and he wasnt super encouraging about the whole situation, but I probably needed a bit of shock and awe.

The doctor is great the person who does his billing and insurance is totally incompetent. I have explained 3 times now how the insurance has paid her and I am still getting a bill for what the insurance has already paid.
