We went to Shipleys for donuts on Sunday. It was 11:45am, and the other donut store nearby that I typically go to had already closed. Shipleys is known for great donuts, so why not? The floors inside were dry, but so slippery with grease or oil that my son and his buddy were having fun sliding all over the front lobby area. How nasty! We placed our order. I got an apple fritter, my son got a sprinkle donut, and his friend got a cinnamon twist. When our order was given to us, we had a plain cake donut in place of the sprinkle one. I brought it up to exchange with no issues. Back at the table, we all noticed that the donuts were cold - almost like they had been chilled. There is not much worse than a cold donut. Yuck! While we were in the booth with out cold donuts, they boys giggled as a customer almost fell on the slippery floor. Perhaps if we had gone earlier in the day, our experience would have been different.

This used to be the best place in town for donuts but the last couple of times I have gone it was terrible. For me a good donut is fresh, warm and dry, not sticky and wet. Today I bought a box of 12 plain glazed at 8:00 in the morning. They were covered in goopy, sticky icing and were jammed into a box, they looked crushed. They were warm but did not taste right, maybe they had been microwaved. I have decided to find a different place to buy donuts. Its a shame because Shipleys used to be so great.

Went here because they where open at 4:30 am and needed a cup of coffee. They had just unlocked the doors but were very friendly and to my surprise they didnt act like I was bothering them even though they werent quite ready. The cashier got my coffee and donuts rang me up with a smile. After I paid she went right back to finish opening. Great place.

We just moved here from Ohio and thought we would never find a donut shop as good as the locally owned and operated shops back home. Boy were we wrong! Shipleys Donuts are better than anything back home! Great service, too.

Went to purchase a dozen glazed around noon today. Im 68 years old. It was the absolute worst donut Ive ever tasted. My dog would even eat a bite. We will Not be back. Hard to believe they can stay in business

Love this place. Best Do-Nuts in Longview HANDS-DOWN! I really like the Earl Campbell Kolache w/ Pepperjack cheese. Steven & Kathy Taing are the owners and they ROCK!

Biggest and best selection of donuts in Longview. Kids loved watching the donuts being made through the windows. Delicious and fun.
