I was not excited about this place. We had a breakfast voucher from the room we stayed in for a few options including this one and we decided to give it a try. It was only my wife and myself. Once we placed our order we couldnt find a place to sit to wait for our food. There was two different people each sitting at a table for 4 and they had their computers on the table like it was their own personal office. There was another table for 6 that one guy was taking up. He appeared to be the owner of the place. He was doing paper work and when we were almost done eating he got up and went to the back. Well, my wife and I found a tiny 2 person table the we ended up sitting at. Im aware there was only two of us and this table fits two but it was a tiny table and why wasnt the owner or those two inconsiderate probable bernie supporter sitting there since they werent even eating? Oh and by the way we arent fat or even a tad chubby. Were both thin and dont need a ton of space but its nice to get comfortable while having breakfast. This isnt Starbucks. Most of the customer base, especially on the weekend, is tourists. I found this to be extremely unprofessional to take up a 6 person table to sit and use a calculator. Anyway, the food came out and the sausage was halfway cool. I ate the pieces that were slightly warmed and tossed the rest. The eggs were powdered and not fresh. The toast wasnt black but it was darker and crisper than expected and the potatoes werent cooked all the way and were harder than they should be. My wife had a croissant sandwich which she couldnt finish due to taste of the cheese and the eggs were runny. They were scrambled and shouldnt be runny. They had pastries that looked delicious and thats what we shouldve got. I think it was $3.50 for a average sized struddle. All of the pastries looked good even the pie but Ive never paid $5+ for a single small slice before. The place has some good reviews and if theyre legitimate reviews and not ones done by the owner, his friends, etc then maybe it was a bad day when we went. Maybe the cook wasnt in and the cashier was cooking. Idk but I was not happy. I dont see an excuse for the owner not sitting in the small table but whatever. Thats his decision and this has been my opinion of it. Oh and if you let people come in and take up big tables to use their computers while only purchasing a coffee then be aware that other customers may leave because of a lack of seats

Im not sure whether the guy was the manager or the owner, but his customer service skills are pretty lacking. I live in Fredericksburg and have visited this coffee shop several times in the past. I was waiting for my fiance to show up, sitting at an empty table. I hadnt purchased anything yet. The manager, not sure why, asked me to sit on a couch near the restroom if I wasnt going to buy coffee. I didnt bother to tell him that I was waiting for someone or that I intended to buy coffee in a few minutes. I moved to the couch and when my fiance showed, we left. Ill never go back. There are several other coffee shops in town where they treat customers with more respect. Check them out first. I guarantee most local coffee shops will treat you with more respect than this one.

Pretty nice place youve got here. Cute western themed coffee shop with pretty good coffee. We got 2 iced coffee with flavors added to them and while the add in flavors werent really strong/pronounced the overall taste was really good. We also sat and had a lemon bar which was also pretty tasty. I think it was something like $3+ for the lemon bar and such but its a tourist town and I think Starbucks charges just as much so, eh. When we went the shop was almost empty and sure enough we were there 20 minutes to close, but the staff was as friendly as if wed arrived 2 hours before close. Very kind and very fast with our orders. I think when you consider the atmosphere, and the food together, this is a nice little stop for a pick me up.

My husband and I were looking for a quick and simple breakfast option in Fredericksburg when we came upon Java Ranch. On our first attempt, we were denied breakfast as it was 11:01am and the restaurant stopped serving breakfast at 11am. We decided to go back the next day and got there in time for breakfast. The meals were not inexpensive or quickly prepared by any means but the worst part was that when the food arrived and we started eating, we realized that the eggs were definitely powdered. Real eggs certainly do not have a blue tint to them. Im not sure what would make a restaurant (a busy one not hurting for business at that) serve powdered eggs but we will definitely not go back to Java Ranch in the future.

Popped in for a cup of coffee and a snack while walking around Main Street. I got a drip coffee, which you get yourself from a selection of of coffees in carafes and an apple strudel. The coffee was very good and the pastry was what youd expect, not as great as a bakery but it hit the spot. The staff was good and was helpful during ordering. The cafe is cute and what Id imagine a cafe in Fredericksburg would look like, rustic and country with lots of wood and a very relaxing and inviting vibe. There are plenty of seating options from booths to tables and plenty of space to get work done if you wanted. I would recommend Java Ranch to anyone looking for a coffee shop in Fredericksburg.

Breakfast ham croissant was 8/10 (bit to salty), Iced mocha 8/10 (could have used more mocha), peach pie to go 2/10 (60% crust, little fruit), smoothie 0/10 (no real fruit, seem like Kool-Aid), tea OK. Muffin, bran, 10/10. Service 1/10 Saturday morning busy their system of delivery and pickup of items is confusing, jumbled, and very inefficient. I recommend you avoid this place on Saturdays, unless you love muffins or are prepared to be underwhelmed.

Came here for a cup of coffee, which was really good. But, with the smell of cinnamon on the air we found out there were cinnamon rolls just about to come out the oven... Left with 2 of them and wow, one of the best Ive had in a long time. They were soft, moist and just awesome with fresh made frosting drizzled on top. Forgot to get a pic though because I was too excited about them.

My wife and I went for breakfast. Limited seating and not many tables for just 2. Breakfast redeemed the establishment itself, Kolaches had biscuit dough. Tacos were MASSIVE, but sadly lacked flavor. Chocolate croissant was nice. As was a warm cinnamon roll. Short staffed, but we went just before the lunch rush. Decor was fine, and a lifelike Western mural was a nice touch.

This was an AWESOME place to visit. Great environment. Extremely nice and polite workers. Delicious espresso drinks and fresh pastries. Love how the place is decorated.... There is a mural covering the entire right wall...very cool. Must stop in for a cup of coffee! Met the owners-great people!!!! Will definitely be returning next visit to Fredericksburg, TX.
